Trump is self destructing I'll grant you that. However you for the past couple of months after he won the nomination have been on a bash Trump campaign, some of it has been outright false to wild speculation. Haven't noticed the same anti-Clinton passion from you.

The media are giving Trump a lot of support in that respect. He does/says stupid things and the press make sure we see them 24 hours a day. Hiliary, on the other hand, probably could shoot an unarmed bystander on the street and we wouldn't hear a peep. She's certainly skating on stuff that would sink anyone else - except maybe Obama. She couldn't catch an indictment if she showed up red handed with evidence at the FBI's front door and pleaded guilt.

No you are just a moron.

Diversity and freedom of thought/values is a one way street? Funny how "enlightened" people - the ones who believe in no limits - have a problem with the exercise of free speech when it goes against progressive concepts.

Well, well. So the anti-establishment, anti-corruption, pro-change candidate turns out to be the biggest elitist of them all. Lost 1 billion in 1995 alone and most likely hasn't paid any tax since then. And the Trump charity organization wasn't even legally certified to take money, making it basically a money scam.

What else is the least transparent, most corrupt candidate in American presidential history hiding? He clearly doesn't want us to know.

Besides the fact that the 1995 tax returns show that Trump paid zero income taxes that year and possibly he didn't pay taxes for up to 18 years, they show that Trump was in the red taking a loss of over $900 million that year, that Trump’s key holdings were losing money. This all comes after it was found out that Trump businesses combined owe over $600 to Wall Street banks and the Bank of China and that Trump's net worth has taken a $800 million hit and his businesses in 1991, 1992, 1995, 2004, and 2009 took hits that totaled out to be $6.1 billion in losses.

"In an interview on Wednesday, Mr. Mitnick said he could not divulge details of Mr. Trump’s finances without Mr. Trump’s consent. But he did talk about Mr. Trump’s approaches to taxes, and he contrasted Fred Trump’s attention to detail with what he described as Mr. Trump’s brash and undisciplined style. He recalled, for example, that when Donald and Ivana Trump came in each year to sign their tax forms, it was almost always Ivana who asked more questions."

You don't find it ironic that the very publication that is reporting Trump doesn't pay taxes also does not pay taxes?

All the people with common sense saw this coming from a mile away.

And color me shocked that it wasn't Wikileaks that leaked this. I was so certain Wikileaks would have helped us out here.

I just got to remind myself constantly: "Wikileaks is totally not a Russian intelligence operation. Wikileaks is totally not a Russian intelligence operation."

Faux outrage

Raise your hand if you don't try to pay the least amount of taxes allowable under the law?

The point is that he's a scam. A con artist and a loser. Also, a criminal, just like his good pal, Hill. He's also proof that the Republican Party has lost its soul.

That's a bit unfair. Trump actively and openly invites the attention of controversy. First, it's his personality. He loves to be the braggart and the bully. Second, his campaign is built on being the antagonistic outsider. It's his schtick.

Trump is on record repeatedly condemning people for taking advantage of tax laws to not pay taxes. He's made that statement over and over, about other people.

Ergo he is not releasing his returns.

I think it's funny people think Trump is gaming the system by losing his ass to the tune of $900M. That is a big pile of money even for a billionaire and would probably pucker just about anyone. Just like anyone else, he is able to offset his gains by his losses. If you lose $1,000 on a stock trade this year, you can net that against $1,000 of gains and owe no tax. Does that make you a cheat? Someone not paying their fair share? An elitist? Or just someone following the rules? All those who have built something have lost along the way. Buffett has lost billions in a couple months only to make it up again, only to lose it again. There is no one with a perfect record because it isn't possible. And if you are heavy in real estate/development when a recession hits, you are going to lose a lot. Clinton said he was wishing for the 2008 recession because he could buy things on the cheap. I would say he took some major hits in that recession, yet continued to buy into the slump.

Do you think Clinton's camp will want a Congressional investigation launched into who leaked Trump's tax returns? After all, that's a felony to disclose that type of information without consent and we don't want outside forces influencing our election.

You can criticize the tax code and take advantage of it at the same time. Doesn't make anyone a hypocrite.

It turns out that it might have been an employee inside the Trump Organization that gave the NYT the tax returns.

That's right. The only clear criminal here is the New York Times

Under 26 U.S. Code § 6103, it is only illegal for the New York Times to disclose Trump's taxes if they got them from the IRS. They didn't.

And who gave them to the NYT?

Your answer lies inside Trump Tower.

"In Metro, we get a lot of junk mail and are regularly flooded with correspondence from prisoners in New York’s penitentiaries. But Friday, Sept. 23, was different.
I walked to my mailbox and spotted a manila envelope, postmarked New York, NY, with a return address of The Trump Organization. My heart skipped a beat."
