Kelly has no ground on him. He simply had a better supporting cast and played in a gimmick offense that produces lots of empty stats (like Baylor).

Last year Dobbs had, according to you, a sure fire 1st rd/generational talent at RB, another second round RB, a future all-pro TE, at least two early round NFL OL draft picks (Thomas and Wiesman) and a WR that should've been taken no later than the 4th rd.
Kelly was surrounded with more offensive talent than that?
And what exactly is gimmicky about an offense that likes to throw the ball downfield because their QB has an accurate, rifle-arm?
Also, empty stats? What the hell is empty about 41 total tds and 4500+ yards from your QB which leads to the 10th best offense in the nation and a 10-win season?
