all that was just crap and amazing the lack of respect Berry, Daniel, and Hurd have gotten on that BS list.... how could anyone agree with that.... Chubb is great, but hasn't run a down since the injury but he is considered basically the best? Guess someone knows something the rest of the country doesn't... does he now have a bionic knee? SMH-- Daniel should have been a lock at first team... Berry, just SMH...

Chubb makes sense regardless of injury because he is expected to be ready for game 1. I think Hurd has better year wth improved oline and I think Chubb has some rust. However I would have picked Chubb on my ballot because of what he was before injury, lone star in backfield now with Sony hurt, and dude has work ethic not many can match.

Berry and Danie snubs were just downright ridiculous.

I couldn't read it either. Here's the key stats:
Kirk as a freshman last year:
19.3 average on 20 returns with 0 TDs

Berry as a sophomore last year:
38.3 average on 21 returns with 3 TDs

Just for kicks, Berry as a freshman in 2014:
29.5 average on 14 returns with 0 TDs

Basically, Kirk was really good as a freshman receiver last year so the writers just picked him. They knew the name but didn't know he wasn't a very good return man. It's embarrassing for them that it's their full time job and they can't follow a 14 team league any better than that.

You could combine Kirk's punt and kickoff returns, and they still aren't as good as Berry's kickoff returns.

I'm guessing you're right about the receiving part. He had over 1000 yards, and they just stuck him on there because he was also a good returner.

How about this

@MikeGarafolo: During talks w Eric Berry, Chiefs proposed he pay for a disability policy that named the club as beneficiary, sources say. Later backed off.

Franchised this year, next year....Titan.

One can dream, anyway.

You guys have no faith. I clearly forgot that once a recruit says he's committed somewhere, that he will never change his mind.

He is free to negotiate with any team this year. If a team signs him, the Chiefs get 2 first round picks.

Edit: Guess the article meant he can negotiate while sitting out 2016

Has de1 commented in any other thread as to why the hell we aren't at this camp? Or is he associated with someone else?

Story I have heard is we pissed off those guys by having our camp earlier in the summer on a day they already had one of their $ grabs scheduled for.

Fwiw

We could have had several go to the draft but they came back for a championship....

Too nuanced an argument.

All opposing teams have to do is show clips from NFL Network saying more guys from Germany have been drafted than from Tennessee and it kills us in recruiting.

You don't think those vines or YouTube clips haven't been sent to prospects looking at us?

This is our biggest impediment in recruiting right now.

As long as we go 10-2 we will still have a top 10 class. I think it's teams negative recruiting us, "they always underachieve"(not even true) "they always choke" "they are gonna get the death penalty from Title IX lawsuit". Clemson is $elling a chance to play in the playoff$ and UGA is selling what Butch did in his first couple years

"0 draft picks in the last years."

"If you go to Tennessee won't get drafted."

"They can't develop NFL talent."

That's the most damning argument against us right now in recruiting. Kids want to get to the NFL more than they care about winning national titles. The title ix thing is irrelevant.

We need to win the SEC championship and have a ton of guys drafted to get back to recruiting at an elite level.
