Some of you don't get it.

Kids want to get to the NFL. The 0 draft picks in 2 years is killing us.

Plus the we're close to being really good isn't a good argument when other teams are saying we're better and we can get you to the NFL.

We could have had several go to the draft but they came back for a championship....

Paulk would have been back if not for all the negative stuff that kept popping up that eventually made it impossible for Butch to keep him

Speculation. There were other dismissed cases that brought negative attention, but those players weren't dismissed. The difference - evidence/witnesses. Charges or no, Jones seems to take all the facts into consideration before making his decision.

I was very impressed by her. She was composed, passionate, well-spoken and forthright. She was speaking before millions and was very cool and collected during the presentation.

I agree. She did a bang up job. I would've lost it if I had to sit through the video and get up to speak about my child's death.

I only made my statement because I feel ESPN attempts to push some type of agenda during the ESPYS. This year it was gun control. Last year it was the whole transgender thing. IMO Abc/ESPN attempted to control her message.

Or the Tshirt Company is getting rich. Surely to damn goodness more than 2$ per shirt goes to charity

You would think so, but sadly that is probably the case. This is the main reason why I neverdonate to a charity but instead give to people I know in need. If you wanna be angry, look up the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer association. If there is a hell, it was made for people like that.

Facts are completely irrelevant. The preferred narrative that was decided on is that Tennessee, not Georgia, is always overhyped every year and fails to deliver. We have always been at war with Eastasia.

To be fair, there were a handful of writers picking TN. If you get your news from one or two places, it might have seemed like Tennessee was the favorite.

But looking at the whole landscape, Georgia was at least as much a favorite last year as Tennessee is this year.

They were nowhere in sight during my wife's last few months. Part of my estrangement from her family is due to my refusing to do that damn walk with them.

True enough, but if you only get your news from one or two places, you might ought to hold back on the blanket statements about the entire news media. It would be a little bit like talking to your family and deciding you know how the presidential election is predicted to play out in the public at large.

@JimmyHyams: Pat Summitt Foundation has sold 225,000 Summitt t-shirts at $15 each.Total raised in 2 1/2 weeks (with other donations): $400,000. Amazing!

Am I the only one that is seeing a problem here?

Not going to put anything past Jimmy, but the $400,000 could be proceeds donated after the cost of the shirts are factored in.

2 names under the radar in Murfreesboro for class of '18.

Austin Rowland LB Riverdale

Sewell (first name escapes me) TE Blackman

Edit Sewell class of '17. Wish he had another year. Still might blow up

Both killed it in 7 on 7 and turned heads.

Rowland got an invite to Junior day in Knoxville.

No one thought that though at the time. We were supposed to have tons of momentum after winning 6 in a row, destroying a top 15 team in a bowl, and being preseason top 10. Something STILL doesn't add up for me.

Yeah, I remember that. Almost everyone believed we would all of a sudden be liked by recruits again. IMO 1 season doesn't say "we are back". We have been down for darn near a decade. We have to have constant success on the field to say that. 1 9-win season doesn't. If we get at least an 11-win season this year then I could justify saying it, but not yet. Let's see what Team 120 does.

We were considered a dark horse but rarely a favorite. Georgia was clearly the front runner by reputable papers.

My excitement for the upcoming season builds each and every day. August 1st can't get here soon enough. However, I sit here reflecting on the 84 souls murdered in Nice, and it just seems so unjust and cruel. As we absorb these tragedies, Orlando included, it just makes enjoying every day so important. Regardless of the ups and downs this season, I will savor each and every day. Wish Vol Nation a great day.

As long as we go 10-2 we will still have a top 10 class. I think it's teams negative recruiting us, "they always underachieve"(not even true) "they always choke" "they are gonna get the death penalty from Title IX lawsuit". Clemson is $elling a chance to play in the playoff$ and UGA is selling what Butch did in his first couple years

Or American Cancer Society. They spend more money on Relay for Life fund raising than they do in actual research, all the while paying their CEO 7 figures. I work in the healthcare field and refuse to participate in things like that. IMO, there will never be a true cure for cancer, as there is too much money to be made by organizations like this, healthcare systems, and pharmaceutical companies.

One of the former largest sponsors of Breast Cancer Awareness Week is a company that makes a leading breast cancer treatment drug. This same company owns multiple cancer treatment centers throughout the country (steer treatment how they see fit). Oh, and they own a sister company that manufactures chemicals, one that has been directly linked to causing breast cancer. The Circle of "Life".:censored:

End of rant.
