Right. More like one mention that a croot might choose someone over the vols, SOMEBODY GETTIN A JOB!!!
Fwiw, if an osu fan starts making pre-excuses I would ask the same questions.
Honestly waiting for "the kid just ain't that good anyway" posts. All fan bases do it.
Also, where in any posts have I claimed this rumor isn't true? Or that osu "just wouldn't do that"?

Honestly, I'm not that invested in the decsions high school boys make. If we get Jones, good, if we don't, no big deal. With the time I have, I keep up with MY team on MY teams website the best I can. I really have more of a problem with most of the 'rival posters' who pollute MY teams site..
Here's to hoping your team sucks this year.
Peace brother......
Good luck with that, I can't really pronounce it forward.
Btw, if that worked my wife would have figured it out years ago.
No rustled jimmies here. Just asking sensible questions that just don't seem to have answers.
At least if it goes down that jones chooses osu, I'll know why and I'll know where I learned it!
Oh I get that it's a "rumor". Often rumors start with an Internet poster saying things like this, and how many vol fans will take it from this very thread. Then if jones doesn't choose Tennessee, the rumors become fact.
I don't care but I do find it funny the rumors have already started, and he hasn't even chosen a school.
Kay didn't even have an attempt in 2011 he RS I assume. So Collaros and Legaux got the snaps (both DT) and in 2012 Legaux had 2x the passing attempts as Kay. Kay's completion % was better in his action in 2012 and his INT/attempt ratio was better. I'm not researching what games Kay played in 2012 vs what games Legaux played cause that's more than I care to do. Kay and Legaux only took snaps together 1 year under Butch; 2012. Point is, an overwhelming number of snaps/attempts in Butch's career have been taken by DT QB's.
I'm on mobile so I can't see your location. As such, this is a serious question. Are you from Tennessee? Otherwise, I can't figure out why a fan of a Big 10 school would hang out on a board for a team they virtually never play.
I agree with this totally. I just don't know if we are in any position to be doing anything like that given are recent run ins with Title XI amongst other things. But on the flip side of the coin I for one want to know that the players I have playing for me are coming here because we just flat out recruited the other schools pursuing the player for their LOI not having to offer additional benefits to them or one of their family members.
Without injuries Kay would've been a 3 year starter. Tuberville didn't change the system much and he threw for 3300 yards his senior year. He was better than Legaux, so maybe Butch noticed and that's why he continues to recruit both. Majority schmority...explain that...of course you don't know Butch's system any better than the rest of us...so you can't.
Highly doubt Kay starts in 2011 over a returning SR starter in Zach Collaros. So that would've left 2012 and 2013. Except Legaux started 2013 until he got injured in the 2nd game. I have little doubt Kay is a better passer than Legaux, the stats clearly prove that. The initial point I responded to was Butch succeeded fine at Cincy with a PS QB; he played 1 for a total of 1/2 a season so there's not much data to support that. I think the poster was referring to Tony Pike, which is why I simply pointed out he never played for Butch. To say Butch hasn't favored (or played at minimum) a DT QB for most of his career would be untrue.
There is no doubt this offense runs better with a dual threat qb. You also could totally change the offense and run a play action smash mouth approach with a less mobile qb. You are correct however that butch has and always has gone with the more mobile guy.
Fort.New Just talked with Marc Givler of our Ohio State site who talked to Emory tonight and he has a quick update.
Jones told him he's still scheduled to see Ohio State on July 22, but as of now he won't be able to make it to Tennessee on July 21. He has a function with his high school team that he can't miss.
He said he still wants to see Tennessee again, but also wants to make a decision before the season.
