Gators are Scared!

These dude's can walk in here with a ex wide out from candy at QB and make it a game.

WTFE

Yours and others inability to see what's happened to our program the past decade and how we finally have someone here who can and is fixing things is amazing to me.
Just hide in your little cave with the rest of the troglodytes and when things are "nice" again we will sound a siren for you to come on out.

...and just for the record, I have said we win this game and go 11-1 this year, but it sure as hell won't be a double digit runneover. It will be a close, scary, embarrassing win, and you won't find me pointing fingers and "hahaha" ing in anyones face. Give me 3-4 years of convincing wins, then I'll be an asshat.

They have won the right to troll us all they want in any fashion. Homer by saying he is more worried about Vandy and the other one telling his story of a post he had ready until we pulled a "Tennessee.". And don't forget Mac, you just don't lose to Tn. He won last year by the skin of his teeth(well some of his teeth). When leaving the stadium the Florida fans were very happy for the gift they received with lots of shrugged shoulders for how they won. Don't get me wrong they called the plays and then executed them to take the win, but at the same time we were way too nice to them by our conservative play along with the mistakes made on our last drive.

So let the trolling continue, they all know the streak will end and they expect it to be this year just like they expected it to end the last two years too.

See you in Knoxville.

Funny part is I got this same reaction when I spoke out against Dooley in 2011. Everyone blamed Hunter's knee or a stupid rule or bad luck. Everyone told me how great we were going to be in 2012 and I wasn't a real fan for wanting him gone. Butch isn't Dooley bad, but he also isn't $4,000,000 SEC Champions good either

The going rate for SEC championship caliber coaching is >$7,000,000.00 these days. Come on over to the the 21st century grandpa as I'm one as well and that is what they draw if proven these days.

There is a lot of talk of trolling and I'm here to say hello and have dialogue about football. The topic of the Gators are Scared is funny, considering there are ZERO topics on any of the Gator sites, pertaining to the Vols. FYI, I found three on the first page on VN.

I have been a member of VN for 5 years but I haven't posted a lot. If you go back and look, I have never come on this site and posted after the game (all wins). There is no reason for that. Win or lose on 9/24, I will not be back posting anything on here.

As for the Vandy comment, there is no disrespect meant towards UT. My meaning for that was that the Gators will be ready for the UT game. They will not overlook this team and I know they will catch hell for last years game, mostly all the missed tackles. Vandy happens to be the trap game right between the Vols and LSU.

Thanks

But you're damn sure not holding UT to the nine points unless something of cataclysmic proportions has gone wrong.
As far as winning, I just call should wins, I never state a win until it's actually done.
Everyone falls in the trap game or an upset on occasion.

look guys, I guess when I think about it, these guys have given us the beat down. They have. As much as it hurts to say that. They earned the right to talk, we have NOT.

That being said, I guess when you get the beat down you have to at some point get the balls to stand back up. That's what the young people are doing right now, getting back on their feet. I can understand that and I'm going to stand with them, but part of that process of being able to hold your head high is acknowledging that you were beat before you got back up.

Respect the gators guys. Stay classy and hold you're head high by beating them on the field. The best respect you can give an opponent is by beating them.... on the field. We have not earned the right to talk smack yet though.

Well, I for one, am always "scared" of this game.

Doesn't matter if Tennessee has Crompton, Clausen, Dobbs or Manning at QB. Doesn't matter if Tennessee has Henry, Hurd, Lewis or Neal at running back.

Doesn't matter if Tennessee is unranked and Florida is number 1. Doesn't matter if the Vols are picked to run over the Gators like they have been many times in the past, this game is huge and is always close.

Every time Florida wins this game I let out a huge sigh of relief. :good!:

Are you serious?

Antonio Callaway's catch and run doesn't happen against anyone else on the schedule.

There had to be a point, or several points, where Tennessee had a 99.9% chance of winning the game. On each of those occasions, whatever scenario Florida needed to happen found a way to happen.

The field goal never had a chance. The "two inches to the right" stuff was just the football Gods screwing with Tennessee fans. Particularly, after the first kick. That was just cruel and unusual punishment from those football Gods.

I don't know what happened to create all the voodoo, but it's real.

Think about 2014 now in greater detail. Florida replaced Jeff Driskel with a QB who is even worse and got a game winning field goal from 49 yards out from a kicker who struggles to make extra points.

None of what you said true 'cause UF had some NFL draft picks last year and UT didn't.

Fans get to talk. That's what they do. If you buy tickets, gear etc and are a fan then you get to talk if you want.
This is a forum for VOL fans so this is especially a place where you will see it. If you can't handle that then perhaps you should find another thread.

I don't talk smack to UF fans other than call out their BS statements.
Besides, I hate bammer a helluva lot more than UF. I know we will right things with UF. I'm very confident.

Lots of good points in your post. But that's the beauty of talking trash, it's not something that a fan has to earn, its like " The Bill of Rights" for fans. Sometimes there is crow to eat, but to just sit on your hands and show no fire or excitement for such a heated rivalry is disrespectful to the rival and to your own team.

Now is the time for trash talking, before the game and during the game, once the game has been decided, that's the time to show some class. Don't be a sore loser and at the same time be a gracious winner. When we break the streak that's the true test of fan etiquette.

So forget last year, all you gator lovers better whoop it up, the clock is ticking and your rein is coming to an end.

See you in Knoxville.

Go Vols!

I have ran my mouth the last 2 year's keeping my mouth shut till we do it.

That settles it, you're the jinx. You running your mouth is what caused us to lose.

As fans all we can do is help our team win, there is nothing the typical fan can do to cause a loss.

For me the trash talking is part of the fun. I expect our rivals to talk trash and I expect is to talk trash.

Live a little.

I will see you in Tampa.

Go Vols!

There are many years that we should have beaten them and they end up getting lucky or we end up making a mistake late in the game to give them the victory.
I have seen so many games that ended that way, that at this point, I have to actually see us beating Florida before I will believe it.
They deserve to lose but I still doudt that they will. I see U.T. losing two games this season, Florida & Alabama.
I see another 2 or 3 point loss to them again this season.

I feel the same way bro. We always seem to find a way to shoot ourselfs in the foot. It almost feels like theres some witch dr deep in the FL swamps casting voodoo spells on us. The $100 ? Is, Can we finally clear the mental hurdle and quit being our own worst enemy in this game!?

This game is and always will be my most favorite game of the year. Especially the Fulmer, Spurrier years. Hopefully this game will get back to the top of the national stage like it use to be. Im sick of watching the SEC west holding up the trophy in Atlanta every year!

TN's two biggest games of the season are in a 7 day window, back to back. TN v. UF, and TN v. UGA games will determine who plays in ATL. Win those two you have room for error against Tx am and Bama. The rest of the East poses little threat.
