Gators are Scared!

The last two years I had a "congratulations" post all typed up and ready to go.

Last year, I expected Tennessee to win and made a post saying so giving a break down of the game. However, I indicated that "Tennessee being stuck on stupid is where I pin most of my hopes and sadly, for you all, that’s not out of the realm of possibility." .

I am now at the point where I will wait for that moment in the game where I turn to someone I am watching the game with and we look at each other and simultaneously say "Tennessee".

Until I see something different, Florida will either outperform Tennessee and win or Tennessee will aim both barrels at its feet and allow Florida to win the game.

It's science.

NB4 KB, 08 or Wylo

UT won't beat Florida.

LOL

I've already made my prediction for the game. It will be a close defensive battle with UF scoring a late TD to put it out of reach. Either UF 27 UT 17 or UF 20 UT 10. I'm making this prediction assuming Calloway is reinstated during fall camp, Tuttle isn't close to 100% by game time and we lose 2-3 more starters between now and Sept 24th.
If Calloway is suspended for this game, Shy makes a miraculous recovery, and we make it through fall camp and the first 3 games without losing 2-3 starters to injury, suspension, or dismissal then I think we win by 7.

Meh...you have to beat us at some point.

Thankfully the staff at GatorBait won't be suiting up for us. Marty Cohen is way past his prime.

As a Vol fan, yes we want to beat you every year, but it hasnt mattered.

We should be going for our 3rd win in a row this year... But nope lol.

Gators have an identity on both side of the football. They still have speed on both sides. Mclwein does a great job with game planning and developing an offensive agenda for each game. Last year, you lost your QB who was a newby to begin with, yet he had you all playing winning football.

Florida is just as much a threat to win the East as we are.

A lot of returning experience on offense. Defensive corner stones are there.

I think UF is a 10 win team again. Buy UT shoukd still beat them imo.

Got zero sleep last night, got up this morning with a massive headache, Crappy day at work, terrible weather outside, got home and realized I have no beer in the fridge. I needed a solid laugh. Thanks for giving it to me.

Are you the gator equivalent of D4H?:)

Most anytime I come home with a headache, I eat raisin bran. About a half hour later I take a Florida Gator and always feel a lot better, headache is gone! Do what you need to get your pipes working and take a good gator and I guarantee you'll be a lot better!

I support the team, always have and always will, I just don't blindly support the coach. I keep waiting for him to prove me wrong but wins over mediocre/injured teams won't do it. I'll be in the stadium for this UF game, just like every other year since 02. Hopefully we pull it out but I've been a fan long enough to know hope doesn't beat UF

WTFE man. You are what you are and everyone knows it.

Funny part is I got this same reaction when I spoke out against Dooley in 2011. Everyone blamed Hunter's knee or a stupid rule or bad luck. Everyone told me how great we were going to be in 2012 and I wasn't a real fan for wanting him gone. Butch isn't Dooley bad, but he also isn't $4,000,000 SEC Champions good either

The team and entire program is light years better than when he took over. Fools like you give no credit where its been earned.
You're blind negativity keeps you from seeing what most others see.

As long as Butch doesn't try to play Mr. Nice Guy, we should be good. I don't give a damn if we're up 3 touchdowns with 30 seconds remaining on the Florida 5 yard line. Pound the ball into the endzone.

Don't recall him being "Mr Nice Guy" in the bowl game this year.

This is what I expect from Gator fans. "Sure Tennessee should beat us but I'll just wait on them to hand us the game."

Go ahead and throw 13' in there too. Remember our new hand picked 1st time starting QB, and just how bad UF was then?

Then the next start we gave that kid was Bama in 2014. Either Butch wanted to punish him or he saw something that clearly wasn't there

Seems like the same ole preseason hype article to me.

Just like our resident Gators do: yea, Tennessee will win. When we blow it they shove it in our face.

I am more worried about the Vandy game on 10/1 than I am of the Vol game. Our defense was embarrassed last year by Hurd and Dobbs, running the ball. I think they will be more than prepared for this game.

On the other side, the vols are going to play this game like it's their super bowl. They will be hearing about the streak for a week and a half before the game, all while being told they should kill UF.

Distractions, overconfidence and Butch Jones!

Gators win 27 - 9

Homer, if that's true. Then KPD head better position staff along all the railings at Neyland. More than a few will be at risk of jumping.

I'm cautiously optimistic about our chances. I'm only cautious because of the last two years where both times we were better on paper and yet some how managed to lose by one point (one FREAKING POINT!)

So I'm a die hard Vol but I'll admit I'm a wait and see person when it comes to predicting the florida game. Again, on paper there is no reason we should not win this game. On paper, Florida should be scared.

However, I also recognize it is July and this game isn't for several months. Before that there are other games. Anything can happen. I remember watching the Florida games years ago, expecting a win only to watch Justin Hunter hurt his leg in the first few minutes. It was all downhill from there.

Anything can happen. We can't predict injuries and suspensions. All we can do is look at the current roster and say "if the breaks go our way, if we are healthy, then yes we should expect a win"

That's all we can do for any game against any opponent though.

And as for the Florida guy who said they were more worried about Vandy....Thanks for the laugh.
