Which is ironic. Exactly how everyone felt about Pat's teams (preUCONN). So dominant that they became the villains.
Pat was the best thing that happened to the women's game. Uconn becoming relevant was what kept it going. Pat's sickness and TN falling off has hurt the sport greatly even though other teams are still getting better, which is what the sport needs more than anything. There will never be two individual teams as dominant in their sport as UCONN and Tennessee were in the heights of their powers. They were the Lakers/Celtics of the 80's. Only they did it for nearly 20 years instead of ten. Many of us don't like Geno, but he gave Pat someone to work against and I think it made her a much better coach in the long run, even if she has less titles as a result.
Two options, pick one.
A - 10-2 (6-2) Losses to Alabama and Florida. Win SEC East and play LSU in SEC Title game.
B- 10-2 (6-2) Losses to Georgia and A&M. Miss out on SEC East w/ UGA winning it and them playing LSU
I honestly would almost take option B, getting those two monkey's off our back would be huge and I am not confident we'd win in Atlanta anyway. Going undefeated in Neyland would be epic.
Not sure which scenario would be spun more favorably.
I know, I know you take the East title and don't question it but this is really hard to me!
