If you were right, why do they always seem to choose guns ?

Other than Oklahoma City bombing, seems like they always use guns, not pipe bombs or suicide vests.

Why? Ease of acquisition, speed, lethality, easy to hide.

They choose guns because they know that it is a dividing topic in America, to wit: 90 pages of arguing about it. If they did it with traditional IED type devices, they know that it would polarize our country against their little jihad. This way, they also know that we will argue until the cows return the gun control issue,, and totally ignore the real problem. But keep on living in your fantasy land and hug the first muslim you see. There is no chance they would be sympathetic to the cause of the jihadi.

I'll agree ISIS as a "caliphate" has been weakened. However, terrorist groups rarely ever take and hold territory like that.

As a group, I don't think they are weakened as much and will end up getting more into the fold as time goes on.
