WOW! Talk about me jumping to conclusions. You either are trolling or are seriously messed up. EIther way I'm bowing out and I'll let you do your own damage.
You absolutely make no sense. That's so funny you call your self a Christian when you constantly bash Christians while making excuses for the atrocities that a huge portion of Muslims believe is not only OK but God's will. When I say I believe what my eyes tell me has nothing, zero to do with my faith. When I say I chose to believe what my eyes see, I say that I believe my eyes over what your biased publication/study says along with what the liberal media or what our Muslim president says about it. You keep on blaming Christians for everything and apologizing for the Muslim atrocities.
Iraq/Afghanistan invasion of 2003 was a complete mistake, inevitably creating what we are dealing with now
Something that doesn't get talked about enough is Pakistan harboring terrorist organizations as they went back and forth to Afghanistan/Pakistan. Also how they took part in training the group that committed the Mumbai attack
When it comes to extremist Islamic leaders, we could have killed most of them before they got going.
You can't defeat an ideology. Which is why our time in the ME was counter-productive.
So Corey Batey from Vandy is expecting 15-25 years for his rape case and the Stanford swimmer gets 6 months. Ummmm..... What am I missing?
SN: has this been discussed yet? Just wondering

Did you read what she wrote to that Stanford swimmer? She addressed him personally at the end of the trial and it was a very powerful message.
Everyone should take the time to read her statement. It's incredibly powerful. What amazed me is that she didn't want vengeance in the form of him rotting away in prison, she wanted justice and a simple acknowledgement of what happened - an apology from him. The prosecutor could've asked for 14 years but only asked for 6 (that is a very magnanimous sentencing request considering he'd have gotten out in three years or so). But the judge took a dump on justice.
She never got that apology and likely never will but she has made her voice heard loud and clear and has given a voice to many victims. I admire her strength, passion, and determination in the face of such a horrible act.
Corey is black and doesn't have a wealthy family hiring a high powered attorney to defend him or a sympathetic judge that buys the argument that this was just a case of a college boy drinking and not realizing that what he was doing any wrong. Sure the jury convicted the swimmer of three felony counts but it was all just a simple college mistake and the boy will be harmed by imprisonment so we can't have that (I wish I was making this up but that was the judge's reasoning for the sentence - he didn't want to cause harm to the rapist er college boy).
Honestly, it looks like another case of straight up 'affluenza.'

Stanford swimmer's sentence was too light.
But there is a major difference between the cases. Stanford swimmer is trashed and rapes a girl. Vanderbilt football players gang rape, sodomize, videotape, and urinate on a girl. They encourage others to participate. They send out the videos. Then they conspire to cover it up.
IMO, the Vanderbilt players deserve the maximum sentence (whatever that is). Their actions were despicable. Again, Stanford swimmer deserved more too.
