'17 MS RB Cam Akers (FSU commit 12/27)

"You will replace _____ if you come here".

They all say it. Problem for LSU is will that staff be there when the kid commits?

From a LSU site ...

Cam Akers, RB, 5-10, 200, Mississippi

Akers made the trip, with his mother by his side, and it seems that the trip was a major success for LSU. The Tigers running backs coach Jabbar Juluke spent a lot of time with prized running back, as his wife Denise spent ample time with his mother. The foursome are said to have forged a tight bond that could work in the Tigers' favor down the road. The Tigers appear to be in a two-team battle with rival Ole Miss for Akers' services. The pitch was simple: Come here and play early, with Leonard Fournette destined for the NFL, and be the next great back at LSU. Akers is listening.

It's the same pitch at Tennessee... Come here and play early, with Jalen Hurd destined for the NFL, and be the next great back at Tennessee. Akers should be listening. And his Mom will be smiling even bigger. :good!:

Come on, I mean I'mean not saying we get him, but this is far from over. We will stay on him until he signs with a team, and a lot can change between now and then. Some of you give up so easily, whenever a recruit says anything good about another school. Very happy we have a coaching staff, that is relentless on the recruiting trail, and will not stop, will not quit, and will never give up. Even last year, after losing a gut puncher to the Gators. Followed by the Arkansas disaster. The team had to be feeling low and down. They could have mailed it in and just quit, but they never quit, the coaches and the team never gave up. We won 7 of the final 8, the lone stumble to the Crimson Puke! In my Volnation Fantasyland World, I wish a lot our fans wouldn't quit so easily. I know we always show up in the masses to represent our team, but we as a fan base need to change our attitude. Not to be like the blind Dawg fan and believe we get every single recruit, but to an extent have confidence, that in the end, we have as good a shot as anybody to get most any recruit we're after. Our boys are more battle hardened, learning from the losses, and learning how to win. This year is a year to believe, Vol fans! If you haven't tried it before, go on, get on the train and follow that Orange Rainbow, all the way to the National Title! It's not far fetched, nor will it be easy, and not to be clichéd, but if we take it one game at a time. Give it our best preparation, and effort, in every single game. We have a shot at winning them all. As many have said on here, win this year, recruiting will be easy. I would say these last few years, Butch and Co have done really well. To the naysayers that don't think we get Akers, maybe we won't, but then again, with this staff, and this season, maybe we will. Enjoy the recruiting season, and watch us reap our share of star players. Stay positive Vol Fanatics! We'll be alright!

^That was hard to read. Try breaking it up some. Maybe use a couple of paragraphs.

The money dries up at LSU as the price goes down at the pump. Not sure they're even going to have school next year.

Yeah... its actually looking like some portion of school next year will be cancelled. With impending "I"s being handed out, student athletes will be transferring by the boatload. That being said, TAF is one of the most robust booster clubs in the country. I'll be curious to watch what strings they're able to pull.
