I have seen plenty of CEO's fired but I guess that would not be high level.

I have seen half the executives get fired after that just because they aligned themself with the CEO and the new guy wanted his own yes men in power.

Of course people at all levels get fired. My original point was that more often at higher levels of an organization people reach an understanding that their future will likely be more successful elsewhere. This was a point I made to a poster that was talking about Butch and Jancek.

Haha! I knew someone would bring that up. But I don't think Butch would get rid of him, if he wasn't promoting "within".

He promoted within because he just got rid of him.....if he hadn't just gotten rid of him there'd have been no need to promote within.

1. Your speculation about Jancek and Richt is exactly that......pure speculation. I've not heard that mentioned at all. And, Jancek didn't leave Tennessee until a full month after Richt was hired at Miami...not sure the timing works out there. I think the play of the defense under Jancek last year, specifically the incredibly poor 4th down management and 4th quarter collapses, did him in. Well, that and some tumors about him diddling a co-ed after reportedly being warned to stop several times.

Rather benign tumor to have.

Hey KB and McDad,
Give in to the Hype. Short story long, I went to float the Buffalo with my brother and two nephews. The canoe company we were using was right at a bridge, so I went to jump of it. So I'm up there and stepped over the rail and as I would stand up my calves would push me forward makings feel like I was about to slip and fall. My brother was talking trash so I asked him to join me. He walks up steps over and jumps in. Swims to the side walks up steps over and jumps in again. The whole time 5 or 6 local kids where steadily doing the same. Finally the van with the canoes was pulling up and and it was time to jump or not jump, so I jumped in and swam over, we loaded up and floated the Buffalo. I enjoyed the jump and the rest of the day, as it turned out I could have jumped several times from that bridge, but my apprehension of what bad could happen clouded my judgement and kept me starting my good time sooner than later.

The point is why wait to enjoy the season. Start to enjoy it today and it will last longer that if you wait until we are 15-0.

Talking about all that jumping reminds me.

Jump higher Vols.

If you had jumped higher, then you wouldn't hit the water because it was below you and the bridge. Lol

I know right.

This year is so awesome, and it's just creeping along.

It's like playing golf behind a 5 some, it's takes so long to play a full round, but why rush it, and I stink at golf. It's all about those 25 great shots, too bad it takes over 100 to finish.

Jump higher Vols.

I like hearing them talk the talk , and come the season I am absolutely going to love seeing them walk the walk . It's like watching a perfect storm brewing .
