'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Statistically not true, less than 10% of recruits actually decommit. It's just that everyone remembers the ones who do.

That's an interesting statistic. Just out of curiosity, where did you find that?

See, I only believe 78% of un-sourced statistics because more than 90% of them are made up.

Smart azz jokes aside, if that statistic is legit, I would be curious to know how it breaks down for players committing at different points in the process (i.e. before the end of junior year, summer before senior year, 1st semester of senior year, Jan/Feb of senior year). My guess is that there would be some significant differences. In any case, it would be interesting to see.

Thanks for the information GFW. He sure does appear to be trending to Clemson right now, whatever that means. I try not to get too excited or too down until January, at least, unless the players are EE. I would imagine that this one will go until at least January, but who knows? I know that if he does commit to Clemson, it still will not be over.

If he does commit to Clemson will Dabo let him visit any schools since Dabo has his rule once you commit to Clemson.

I think that it really should not be a shock to anyone when a kid from Knoxville or the surrounding area chooses to attend a school other than UTK. Sure, I want them here but, a lot of kids when deciding on a college like to get away from home. That's partly what college is about. Getting away from parents and learning to become a self reliant adult. So, we shouldn't really get upset or feel offended when someone chooses to get a little further from home but, I do really hope that Tee stays home:)

That stat may be true in a general sense but it's irrelevant using it in relation to us. Butch tends to take more projects than necessary, though I think with Shoop and Scott on board the evaluation standard will be raised and we'll see less projects than in the previous calendar years.

For the class of 2016 we had;

1. D'Andre Christmas-Giles
2. Austin Kendall
3. Chidi Okanya
4. Bailey phillips
5. Tadarryl Marshall
6. Tim Hart
7. Emmanuel Bridges
8. Brodarius Hamm
9. Emmit Gooden
10. Dorian Banks

That's 32%

This bull will get tested sooner rather than later. Dabo's a blowhard. :glare:

He has been "feeling" Clemson for a while honestly.

I think this will start to wear off the longer it goes. Amari and Hunter are IMO the biggest reasons he's even considering them right now.

Well, we've already had de-commitments from Jordan Riley, Hunter Johnson, and Tee Higgins this year (am I forgetting anyone?). I doubt we take 30 this year so we're already over 10% for the 2017 class and just getting warmed up.

So you're saying we are above average?

A lot will change over this special season.
Tee Higgins will be a Vol.

and so will Amari Rodgers. Amari is perfect for our offense. But its more than that... every boy wants to connect with his father. Playing with UT will be that opportunity. Call it a hunch.

After we beat Florida... things will really begin to shift.

Not every boy.

Tee Higgins could change his mind ten times in the next ten months, but IDT Amari Rodgers will be a Vol. If his father factors into it, he's more likely to play where his father coaches than where his father played, IMO.

Bammer and auburn keeps their top talent home now it's unfortuante they we appear to be having trouble....especially that close to knoxville. I believe Tee would be a Vol if our passing game resembled clemsons
