Are you claiming they have to make things up about trump? He gives them plenty of ammo. They have years worth of material already. No need to make things up.
Sad but 100% true. Trump has tapped into the anger people have towards both parties while the Republican establishment just angers their base. They didn't learn from 2008 or 2012.
IMO, Trump should not be mentioned in the same sentence as losers McCain and Romney. Trump has a movement going that continues to grow pulling from both sides similar to what Reagan did. That is not comparing the policies of Reagan and Trump. It is a comparison of the movement.
it's not that hard to figure out. trump was made possible by ineffective, dishonest, and arrogant leadership inside the GOP ranks.
voters delivered for the gop in two big elections that should have carried a very clear message. the leadership gave the voters who did all the groundwork to deliver two majorities the finger.
now they are dealing with the consequences. my state hasn't voted yet, and trump will not get my vote. i don't, however, find his support baffling.
I wouldn't be so sure on that one. The DNC has been happily watching the GOP rip itself up thus far into the election cycle since they haven't had to go after anyone in particular. However, once the convention is over, I'd bet you see an all out assault on the leader.
Just because one percent of the DNC membership in Massachusetts changed over to independent to vote doesn't mean swarms of people will be flipping to the Trump campaign.
Do you think the GOP establishment has figured this out yet? They're nothing but a bunch of scared apologists that refuse to stand up for anything. It's almost as if they're double agents for the democrats.

Which I think is actually helping him.
I don't think it does. Voting for Trump is essentially a big FU to the GOP even if he does not prove to be ultra conservative.
