Who cares if he was an official sheet wearer or not. You don't have to be a card-carrying member of Black Lives Matter to go around and start a riot.

Clearly he sympathizes with the KKK and its political objectives. Although, to 72's point, yes many KKK chapters (which are all probably as loosely affiliated with one another as they've ever been, begging the question of whether or not it even matters that you're an official member anymore of such a decentralized entity) are much "softer" versions of what they used to be. To pretend that they have no effect upon people anymore, however, is obfuscation. The KKK had every bit as much effect upon that idiot as Black Lives Matters has upon any idiot that decides to fight the establishment out of their loosely organized principles as well.

One wonders. That's about the only sense you can make out of it - kind of a political alliance of enemies to achieve common ends. However, I don't think of Trump as a "white nationalist." His "philosophy," if you want to call it that, is too incoherent to be deemed something as concrete as "white nationalist."

His questioning of Obama, Cruz, and Rubio's eligibility. His views on limiting immigration. It's all about who is "us", who is American? And it appears to me that trump only considers those of European ancestry to be real Americans.

It's funny how the fear of Trump is growing exponentially. I fully expect to wake up tomorrow and read a news story claiming he raped and murdered several illegal immigrants over night.

Are you claiming they have to make things up about trump? He gives them plenty of ammo. They have years worth of material already. No need to make things up.

The desperation in the air from both sides is awesome theatre. It's a pretty good rule that when someone starts throwing out racism accusations, they are grasping for a distant rope as they are drowning.

I feel this way too. But I'm more interested in seeing the Republican Party go into meltdown and rationalize having nothing to do with the climate of dissatisfaction.

I've been that way since 2010. They are out of touch with voters outside the beltway (except for campaign and fundraising season).
