After months of bloviating and moralizing on his show, John Oliver finally hit it out of the park with his Trump segment.

John Oliver has the Donald Trump takedown America has been waiting for - Vox

Really speaks as to the character of Donald Trump, and how his persona is built on falsehoods and empty threats.

Gotta love the contrasting headlines the day before Super Tuesday.

"John Oliver finally takes down Trump!"

"Trump now has 49% of the GOP vote in latest poll"

Yeah, that won't convince anyone who is already supporting Trump. I thought it was pretty well done, though.

Mitch McConnell has told those Republican senators running for 2016 senate seats, that it is OK to run ANTI TRUMP ADS during their senate campaigns.

Mitch McConnell will certainly not be either senate majority or minority leader if either Trump or Cruz become president, that's for sure.

Good call.

Rand Paul for Senate Majority Leader!

The President has no say on who will be the majority or minority leader.

so?

Trump isn't a Republican. At best he's a Reform party candidate like Perot (only less honest) or Ventura (with worse hair).

Even John Oliver is no magician. Even he can't help stupid.

Only stupid can help stupid.

He's a labor Democrat, who has all the xenophobic and nativist ("Dey tuuk ourrr jowwbbbs!!!") trappings associated with that mindset, and I have yet to hear any explanation from the "You're all a bunch of worthless RINOs!" Trump crowd on here as to why they support a labor Democrat.

Stupid gave us Obama. I guess turnabout's fair play.

Perhaps, but whatever bad an Obama presidency has brought us can just about all be reversed in the next presidential administration.

I'm not sure one could say the same about a Trump presidency. One certainly can't about a Bush II presidency.

FLORIDA: Trump 40.3, Rubio 20.8, Cruz 15.8 (99)

OHIO: Trump 31, Kasich 26, Cruz 21 (66)

ILLINOIS: Trump 33, Rubio 17.5, Cruz 15.5 (69)

NORTH CAROLINA: Trump 29.8, Cruz 19.5, Rubio 17.5 (72)

MISSOURI: No recent poll. (52)

Total Winner Take All Delegates: 358

Do the math Gang Of Eight Boy, and Losing your Own state is shameful.

If Trump beats Kasich in Ohio, that will be the final sign for me that America has gone "full retard," to quote Robert Downey, Jr.

I think at that point, I'll go ahead and convert back to Christianity and wait quietly and patiently in a small closet for the impending Apocalypse.

The Senate is lost. Turnout on the Dem side will be 2012 like.

I think Republicans will keep control of the House and just barely lose their majority in the Senate. The Senate races this cycle are more favorable to Democrats since younger voters do not tend to vote in Midterm elections, but they come out in force for Presidential elections.

I'm not even going to speculate on President, I have no clue anymore. Clinton may be in the slammer, Trump might attend a KKK rally, Rubio might threaten to bomb Denmark. Strangest election year.

The effort to link Trump as some sort of KKK sympathizer has been great. When the other side starts down the racism path, the smell of desperation is in the air.

I wonder how many brain cells collectively die when Black Lives Matter and Trumpsters go head-to-head at a Trump rally.

Trump is no "racist," in the conventional sense. (He is, however, a xenophobe and a nativist.)

One wonders though why so many white supremacist groups are now endorsing (and even robocalling for) Trump and why he got the official endorsement of the world's most preeminent fascist, Alexandr Dugin, over the weekend.

He may not be a "racist," but clearly there is something in his completely disorganized political platform that strikes a harmonious note with the extreme Far Right. All the more baffling considering that, once again, he's actually a labor Democrat.

I don't think Trump is a racist or white supremacist at all, but he knows that most of that element is supporting him.

Agreed. The DNC and GOP smelt blood in the water after he screwed up his interview with Jake Trapper yesterday, and the media is running with it.
