CBJ allegedly tells Drae Bowles he 'betrayed the team'

Where did you get that from?

Bowles was called to testify to the grand jury that eventually indicted Johnson and Williams. In an interview from February 13, 2015, he claimed he had given the alleged victim a ride home from the party where the rape occurred, but she did not tell him she was sexually assaulted. He also denied that he had been assaulted himself.

Good grief it's posted on 247 now. Somebody is trying their best to make Butch look like a terrible person. Like he verbally abused a knight in shining armour for helping a poor victim in distress. Our rivals are making some awful comments.

It's only going to get worse and recruiting going to get bad.

Did Pearsons accuser have an order of protection against him - that could keep him away from campus - I never heard but could be the case for that issue

I don't know...it would make sense to me that any woman would have an order of protection if they were going to stay in school...I'll check...but Pearson was officially suspended from the school.

I don't want it to be true. I hope it's not true.

It's just a lot and maybe fairly I've been accused of having no life because I read, have read nearly every document and a lot of it happens over and over.

and if only some of it's true, it's bad.

I hope beyond it all that CBJ did not say this to Bowles because up until today he was safe from all of this and I really like him and what he's done with the program.

Even if he did say it nothing will come of it. Fact is drae did betray his team and thats how the team felt. Butch is just gonna take a little heat itll blow over.

Just thinking about how this may have played out. Not convinced UT is guilty, but I am pretty convinced of some horrible behaviors and lack of consequences.

Do you think the girl was not even assaulted?

Did you think the girl in the Von Pearson "case" was assaulted? As it turns out she wasn't. Nobody knew then and nobody knows now.

Alright, forget them.

How about this, since some can only focus on a couple aspects of the case...

AJ WAS suspended from the team, NOT from school, and he graduated.

Michael Williams, involved in the same case was KICKED OFF OF THE football team, allowed to remain in school.

Both were charged with a crime and are awaiting trial.

Von Pearson was suspended just like AJ from the football team but ALSO SUSPENDED from school, even though no charges were ever filed in the case.

Why was Pearson treated so harshly by the school compared to the others?

If I were to guess, I'd say existing evidence available to UT.

Question: Isn't THE University of Tennessee being accused here and not just CBJ and its sports programs and individuals. Has THE University had any statement in this at all? I realize lawyers are formulating their responses but more proactivity would be helpful. IMO. And stop with the CBJ is gone crap already. Anyone can say something stupid in the heat of the moment [if he even did]. Plus the dude apologized apparently [if he did]. Up to this point CBJ has been tough with discipline. I find it hard to find a major fault with him if this is the extent of what happened. May be more to come.

Because UT was under a microscope when Pearson was accused. They had to deem him guilty until proven innocent. He couldn't be given the benefit of doubt. And we see how well that turned out. :good!:

This is correct. Should they all have been handled the same way and if the answer is yes...that they handled Pearson's case differently because they were under investigation, what is wrong with the way they handled the others?

As a fan, shouldn't I ask that question?

What are your thoughts on the following?

Are there not consequences for lying to a grand jury?

I read this and there is no context to what was said in any of the conversations that Bowles had with anyone.

It is also written so that anyone who reads will assume actions were because of said incident and not because of how Bowles may have acted himself.

If this were in fact was someone he was seeing, more than likely there were a lot of things that happened and was said that Bowles is not reporting.

The only way I can answer that is Maybe.

For someone who wants to act like they know something this post shows you have no clue. Von wasn't treated any different and kust like AJ he wasn't ever suspended from school.

Honestly, your posting style makes it seem like you want all of this to be true. I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but some of your statements make it hard. I'll be the first to admit, I don't want any of this to be true, but I also except the possibility that it is. But here's the rub, nothing has been proven in a court of law. The media is crucifying us and painting us in the worst possible light, but nothing has yet been proven to be true. Everything thus far is he said/she said/he said. Are we to determine who we think is being truthful with no factual evidence yet produced?

That's what's bothering me so much.
In a civil case, plaintiffs bust there butt to paint the other side as pure evil. Every time they make a claim, there is a group here that responds as if they produced video evidence or something.

I said early on that I hoped we fought this and completely expected these kinds of character attacks.

He was most certainly suspended from school all the way up to the day of the first practice.

The problem with reading every document and noting things happening over and over is that the same person constructed those documents, so of course he/she is going to write it in such a way to be anti-UT.
