CBJ allegedly tells Drae Bowles he 'betrayed the team'

For me, it's that I compute what is the most probable scenario. In this case, it would be outside the realm of probability that Boyles would face all this heat, then add that Bruce called him a traitor just for good measure. He may be that stupid . . . but he may not be.

Give me no less credit than those here saying that some lawyer is in cahoots with a reporter and conspiring with Boyles so they can all get rich. That seems improbable to me as well.

Because lawyers never sue and get rich

I cannot believe that Coach Jones would be stupid enough to say some dumbass crap as this. Too much evidence to the contrary.

Smacking a player in public, yes, but not to say something stupid?????? I guess, if proven true, you are saying CBJ is stupid and says dumbass crap-I agree.

I love how Paul Finebaum and all the call in people took this to be the truth just because someone did a sworn affidavit... Holy crap, I know several people myself who gave false affidavit's and my x husband was one of them. A young man being pressured by people to join in a huge lawsuit and promising large sums of money... If it is true then everyone will pay the price... What happened to being innocent until proven guilty?

Good point. I personally dont believe Butch ever said this to Bowles, I guess we'll find out. I was
praying for a day without more drama, maybe tomorrow will be our day.

I could see it like this:

Drae was emotionally attached to this girl, and he seeing her upset, took her word and accepted what she said instead of talking to his "family (brothers)" about what happened. Because of that, Drae did what he thought was right and called the police, which therefore launched accusations at his brothers, which may or may not have been needed. Butch hearing about this became upset at Drae for prematurely calling police based off one female's account, instead of getting the facts. This led to a lot of negative PR and actions for AJ and Williams. I could see Butch saying that he betrayed the team by just simply accepting the female's word, instead of doing his due diligence and looking out for his brothers. They have to protect each other. That doesn't mean cover things up. It just means that they have to keep undue allegations as far away from the program as possible.

Just my two cents.
But Drae said in a Grand Jury testimony he didn't help the girl pursue any criminal action and he had no idea of an alleged rape at the time he picked her up from the party.

No, interesting that you state all of their thoughts as known facts to you.

Your shtick is becoming transparent.

Alright, forget them.

How about this, since some can only focus on a couple aspects of the case...

AJ WAS suspended from the team, NOT from school, and he graduated.

Michael Williams, involved in the same case was KICKED OFF OF THE football team, allowed to remain in school.

Both were charged with a crime and are awaiting trial.

Von Pearson was suspended just like AJ from the football team but ALSO SUSPENDED from school, even though no charges were ever filed in the case.

Why was Pearson treated so harshly by the school compared to the others?

the media as we know it today

Interesting.

All these young women, unhappy with the way their cases were handled, scared to go forward with their education at UT, scared of the backlash they might get because heck if they will ALLEGEDLY do this to Bowles and get away with it, what will they do to me?

That doesn't have your attention?

Honestly, your posting style makes it seem like you want all of this to be true. I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but some of your statements make it hard. I'll be the first to admit, I don't want any of this to be true, but I also except the possibility that it is. But here's the rub, nothing has been proven in a court of law. The media is crucifying us and painting us in the worst possible light, but nothing has yet been proven to be true. Everything thus far is he said/she said/he said. Are we to determine who we think is being truthful with no factual evidence yet produced?

Did Pearsons accuser have an order of protection against him - that could keep him away from campus - I never heard but could be the case for that issue

Drae Bowles' statement is implausible, witness Jane Doe V is a convenient witness and both of their allegations are unfounded. Anybody can say anything; proving it is significantly more difficult.

Because UT was under a microscope when Pearson was accused. They had to deem him guilty until proven innocent. He couldn't be given the benefit of doubt. And we see how well that turned out. :good!:

You want me to tell you what the administration was thinking upon hearing a particular case???

I'm certain anyone reading our exchange can tell you that I don't pretend that guesses are facts, that would be much closer to your technique than mine.

But I love UT and while it's accusations and no proof, not going to condemn them. But it's messed up that you do the opposite.

I'm glad I found this site. I like to follow the recruiting. But life was a whole lot easier not knowing about the bad that could arise in the off season

I don't want it to be true. I hope it's not true.

It's just a lot and maybe fairly I've been accused of having no life because I read, have read nearly every document and a lot of it happens over and over.

and if only some of it's true, it's bad.

I hope beyond it all that CBJ did not say this to Bowles because up until today he was safe from all of this and I really like him and what he's done with the program.

Good grief it's posted on 247 now. Somebody is trying their best to make Butch look like a terrible person. Like he verbally abused a knight in shining armour for helping a poor victim in distress. Our rivals are making some awful comments.
