CBJ allegedly tells Drae Bowles he 'betrayed the team'

CBJ's job isn't in jeopardy over this. Bowles might give as many sworn affidavits as Jamie Naughright before this is over-- and for the same reason.

Honestly, I hope Bowles is found guilty of perjury. And I hope the University opens a counter-suit against the 6 women.

I could see it like this:

Drae was emotionally attached to this girl, and he seeing her upset, took her word and accepted what she said instead of talking to his "family (brothers)" about what happened. Because of that, Drae did what he thought was right and called the police, which therefore launched accusations at his brothers, which may or may not have been needed. Butch hearing about this became upset at Drae for prematurely calling police based off one female's account, instead of getting the facts. This led to a lot of negative PR and actions for AJ and Williams. I could see Butch saying that he betrayed the team by just simply accepting the female's word, instead of doing his due diligence and looking out for his brothers. They have to protect each other. That doesn't mean cover things up. It just means that they have to keep undue allegations as far away from the program as possible.

Just my two cents.
Wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened.

Nevertheless, the HC MUST keep his emotions under control and not react the same way as (perhaps) the players did. He is paid to be the grown-up in these situations, and he can't let his temper get the best of him.

If what you speculated is what happened, it's understandable, but it's also wrong. You don't call a player a "traitor" for trying to help someone. You could just as easily call Johnson or Williams traitors, if what is claimed actually occurred. In the end, they did far more damage to the team (again, if this did happen.)

Honestly, we don't know but this is along my line of thinking also.
Less 'good versus evil' and more like reality. Two different points of view.

That would surprise me a lot. Bowles is a super kid from a good, law-enforcement family.

So is Butch. Good kids can do bad things when a girl is involved and I am talking about Bowles.

$$$$PAY THE MONEY$$$$$ and put an end to this. In the long run the school is gonna pay anyways, so don't let this get worse and drag people through the mud. That being said, they need to crackdown on these guys about their off the field escapades.

But you don't believe good men can do bad things when star players are involved?

The history of sports is littered with stuff like this.

I hope CBJ did not do this, just like everyone else here, btw.

When I read the totality of it all I find it hard to believe that everyone is a liar. If you believe the VN narrative, everyone that says a negative word about Tennessee is a liar.

I read Jennings allegations, I read the Moshak, Schlosser, Mason allegations, Tim Rodgers concerns and subsequent resignation letters, Jenny Wight's firing and the 28 page document where UT

" found no evidence to support widespread allegations that she engaged in inappropriate relationships with student athletes, according to a 28-page investigation report UT released Friday."

Then of course there are the eight young women here accusing the UT administration of not handling their allegations.
That's just going back over the time that Hart has been here.
Drae is either lying now or lied to the police. Either way, he lied at one time

Serious question: when was the last time, if ever, that such an allegation was made against a program when there wasn't a lot of fire causing the smoke? Duke Lacrosse is the ONLY time I recall. We are going to have to face some music. This program does not have a good future . . . if it has a future at all.

Then of course there are the eight young women here accusing the UT administration of not handling their allegations correctly.

That's just going back over the time that Hart has been here.

It's just hard to believe that many people are liars.

That's not exactly true.
You always believe a large group is. You just believe it's those still at UT, seemingly in every situation.
The same way some think we are always the good guys, you do the opposite.

Bye bye Butch if true.

Absolutely not. There's no context whatsoever. They made it read like a rape definitely happened, that Bowles came to her aid like a knight in shining armor, and Butch called him a traitor for doing so. There's zero chance that it happened that way IMO. Context and actual events of what happened are what's needed here.

There was an amended filing......today.

From Matt Slovin......

"Curt Maggitt also punched Drae Bowles in the face, according to Bowles’ sworn affidavit that was included in amended filing today."

Tomorrow: Smoky humped Dre Bowle's puppy and is named in the lawsuit.

You've obviously never been to divorce, traffic crash, and immigration courts where thousands of liars show up for paydays every day.

The smoke is orchestrated by attorneys looking for a huge payday.

There was also a lot of smoke around Butch punching Crowder.

Like always, more he said she said. Until a court of law rules, this is all BS posturing and a money grab
