Bama did it last year. No one is above.Who recruited him? The facts are, if you have been convicted of crimes, there is a higher chance of you committing future crimes (convicted) than someone that has not. Recruiting those convicted of crimes should be off the table for UT-we should be better than that, our program is not a rehab center.
How many of y'all doubting me on Greg Isaacs getting the charge dropped have actually lived in Knoxville????
Word is that the criminal charges against Alexis will be dropped and that she's going to try and file a civil case with the 6 others.
Hurd was just an underage age which is nothing IMO
So was butcher's, with the exception he decided to play in traffic. Dui (first offense), under age drinking, and simple possession are all misdemeanors. Thus, Hurd has the same "criminal past" as these. What's the difference for him in your eyes? I'm sincerely curious since your level of condemnation is different for Hurd.
This thread is blah blah this blah blah that the real question is are we gonna have johnson at dt come week one or nah?
What am I missing? The news report indicated he punched his girlfriend and chocked her to the point she was going to pass out. Of course, I know you can't always believe what the "news" reports. But, if true there isn't a real debate about him coming back I wouldn't think. Has something else been reported indicating the news report isn't true?
Someone made a mention of the girl and witness involved in this alleged assault that they were probably going to join the lawsuit against UT. Today, a lawyer for the plaintiffs announced they are going to amend the lawsuit to add two additional "victims." Now, it might not be related to the Alexis situation, but I certainly have to wonder if it was a setup to get a payday if it does turn out to be related.

Exactly. They've already established "The College Rape Culture" Before their done just talking to a girl will be a form of sexual assault.

They've alleged a culture of rape. Nothing has been proven. At this point, some people are in full on panic mode that something might be proven, but I just don't buy this culture exists. Are there some bad apples in the bunch? Most probably, but that doesn't establish a culture. Personally, I hope UT doesn't give in to the idea of settling to make it go away. That just opens the door for more litigation in the future while setting a precedence. I say fight it through and make the attorneys prove this culture actually exists. If they can prove it, and that's a big if, then we can set about fixing it. But again, I honestly don't buy into this culture existing.
