You mean the liberals behind the base closures and force reduction? Yeah that helps AD and vets..

I think you're more upset that certain groups aren't holding your hand through every step of civilian life as you were accustomed to in the military which is understandable. Buying a home in the military is just a bad, bad decision..right below getting and maintaining a high and tight.

And for the non military folks buy a home is a bad decision because enlisted are seldom in one place for more than 4 to 6 years and officers hit the road at around 3 years. So you buy a house and put zero equity in and are at the mercy of the market when you get your marching orders which you can really only refuse once (I think).

I saw the whole home buying fiasco when I served, never understood it. My friends were under constant stress with deployments and finances. Then they go and have kids..never understood that either. Childhood must suck being moved around constantly.

As a military brat who lived in 10 different cities and 3 different countries, and attended 3 different high schools, I thought it was great. Positives way outweighed the negatives... With that said everything else in your post was spot on.

Hillary is bulletproof, she has likely committed several crimes, she is stealing the nomination with these super delegates and none of it seems to matter to democrat voters.

Wait, let me get this straight. It's who's fault you lost a home to foreclosure?

I lost my home because J was forced to move, even after I requested numerous times to extend my assignment because the housing market was so bad and homes weren't selling. So when I moved from base X to my new base the house stayed on the market for over a year and couldn't sell. It's part of military living, I'll accept that.

That's no ones fault but your own.

I met a couple liberals while in, but only a couple.

As far as the base closures, many bases needed to be closed and every president during my time in the service did it. Even John McCain supported George Bush's plan to close numerous installations. I owned 4 homes during my time in and still have 3 of them as rental properties. That 4th one though got me. In the AF you don't have to move as often in certain career fields.

I thought force reduction was one of the best things that happened during my time in. It got rid of the dead weight hanger on who should have been gone from the service years ago.

To clarify, I've never "just been a bartender." Never had to pay bills with that. I just did it to develop an understanding of service in various environments as I dream of owning and running my own place(s) some day.

Also, the coworkers are wonderfully dysfunctional, the tipout made for good play money, the networking was great, and it took all the effort out of getting laid.

And hey, what woman doesn't love a guy who can make an incredible cocktail?

If I was still a young single man.......but damn.... Shaking my head

He is unable to unite both sides to achieve anything. He typically says "do it my way or else". That's not politicking

Dude, Obama managed to convince the American people to elect him President. Then after proving he is grossly incompetent and corrupt he managed to do it again. That's a hell of a politician.

I think Obama's biggest strength is his oratory ability. He's an OK politician but has shown a general lack of ability to persuade and negotiate with Congress on multiple issues. It took him two terms - both with decent electoral mandates - to even begin to advance many of his legislative aspirations. I think his heart has always been in the right place but he is just flat wrong on the role of government, in my opinion.

Obama's foreign policy activity has also been highly questionable in a couple of areas - mainly relating to Syria and his dealings with traditional allies. His obsession with arming 'moderate rebels' in Syria is totally loony, the FSA is made up of many radical Islamist elements, and the number of moderate rebels is dwarfed by Syrian government forces and other belligerent groups. He has not been as close to Britain as I would've liked and it is maybe one of the primary reasons as to why he was not backed up by the British Parliament on the Syria vote to attack Assad. He has also spat in Israel's face to put it lightly. I mean it's fine having an obsession with Asia, but not at the expense of old friends.

Kasich is now double figures in a number of SC polls, if he can cut Rubio close in the primary vote we could have two parallel battles forming. Trump versus Cruz for the anti-establishment vote and Rubio versus Kasich for the establishment.

Note: If Kasich beats Bush then he is well and truly done. Bush has the backing of SC's own Lindsey Graham and SC GOP voters are favourable towards his brother's presidential record compared to most other states. If he's not finished yet - like many already think he is - he could be by next week.

Under that analysis, GWB is the greatest president ever!
