I think Jeb would do well with moderates. A lot of dems would probably vote for him on HRC too

Of the two, Kasich would do better with the moderates IMO. He doesn't have the baggage of the Bush name and I feel can appeal to a wider base than Bush.

Agreed. Bush v Clinton would probably lead to one of the lowest turnouts ever.

No. We've just grown up in a generation in which one party has embraced the politics of racial exclusion and demagoguery of immigrants, gays, and minorities. While another party has embraced diversity, tolerance, and inclusion.

It shouldn't surprise you that if we embraced progressive social policy we would embrace progressive economic policy.

Republicans have lost a generation of voters. And with the increasing diversity of the electorate, a permanent leftist majority is right around the corner.

Hmm. About that "lost generation"

@JohnJHarwood perspective from NH exits on youth surge to Sanders: more 18-29 year-olds voted for Republican candidates (42.6K) than for Bernie (39.6K)

So we would have been worse off with Romney?

No question. We would probably still be in two (2) unwinnable "wars", would not have affordable healthcare for a majority of Americans, and wouldn't be trying to take marninigful steps to address gun violence.
