I'm so f'ing tired of this narrative.
You ***** and moan but you offer no solutions. You say there's injustice and corruption but don't get any more involved to try and actually make a difference, other than to sit behind a computer and cry foul about those who actually do. You take exceptional situations and apply them as rule, only when it falls in line with your narrative.
And just to offer my response to the upcoming debate...
Corruption within law enforcement: it exists, it's ugly and those involved should be held accountable.
There are bad shootings. They're horrible, some much more than others. Again, accountability to those involved.
There are most definitely bad laws. We all know it. Officer discretion...we can choose to not to enforce them.
There is no race conspiracy within the criminal justice system. I've seen the statistics, I've done the research, I've worked the job. I've dealt with turds of all backgrounds, races and creeds...a turd is a turd is a turd.
You preach injustice and cry for accountability...so let's apply that principle across the board, to everyone. You're responsible for your actions and their corresponding consequences. You can't choose your family but you can choose your friends, morals and work ethic. That doesn't make it easy and I won't begin to say that it is.
One of my best friends grew up in the projects of Chattanooga. He's a retired 25 year veteran, a minister involved in the community, working on his 15th year in LE, and is currently contemplating whether he should get a master's degree.
There have been 7 LEO's killed in the line of duty in the last week, one of whom was attempting to disarm a teen by using a taser...pardon me if I seem a bit touchy this morning.
