To Protect and to Serve II

I started watching Making A Murderer last night on Netflix. The cops put a royal screwing on that guy with the sexual assault conviction. I haven't gotten far enough along in the show to have any opinion on the second set of charges, but it seems fishy too. Any of you guys seen this?

I fairly familiar with the case but couldn't make it more than 3 episodes into that show. First off, it's boring as hell. Second, it didn't take long to see that facts were being withheld in an attempt to garner sympathy for Avery.

It's a sad fact but this is one of those cases where there simply isn't a good guy. Everybody involved appears to be scumbags.

That's kind of what I think as well. If you research the guy outside of the show he's no angel, but he sure as hell got railroaded on the first conviction. I still struggle to believe he could have been dumb enough to kill that girl and leave her car on the property. He had a car crusher! He is either the dumbest criminal ever or the cops up there are far beyond corrupt.

It's pretty obvious he's not bright.

Same double standard you perform while lamenting police shooting dogs, yet when a criminal kills a police dog you make fun of it?

That kind of double standard?

It clearly displays that their dogs matter, while the publics do not. I would prefer no dogs be killed.

I would also prefer no dogs be used in so called public service.

I'm a cop. I love dogs. And one of our K9's is a complete a-hole.

Still wouldn't shoot anyone's dog unless it was trying to kill me.

Little off topic here from the normal bashing but stuff got real here today.

5 stores were raided by the FBI, IRS, and the USDA.

The USDA through me a bit. But after what I've found out was going on, boy oh boy. I've done business with 4 of the stores. Two of them regularly since moving to town.

I'm sure I'm on federal video tape via surveillance.

Care to elaborate?

There's two common denominators.

All excepted ebt cards and the owners

Now, isn't ebt state? Or federal hence USDA?

Women, drugs, food stamps, etc all being sold or traded.

One of the stores is the kind of place where you can go in and pay your utilities. They were taking money for said bills and not issuing payment. Folks lights would get turned off.

One person had their debit card used 52 times in two days. The cops couldn't do anything about it due to poor cameras in the store.
