I thought Jancek did a good job. It's much harder to have a juggernaut defense in college than the NFL. That gets lost on me sometimes.

I'm honestly a little surprised by this. Obviously I don't know what goes on between the coaches behind closed doors, but I thought Jancek did a pretty solid job with what he had. If it's money, that's one thing, but based on on the field results, I don't think he deserved to be fired. Kind of bad timing with signing day coming up, which is a bummer.

Again, why is this your first thought? Butch will hire a good coach, and he deserves credit for improving the program and wanting more. I highly doubt he is going to bring in an unknown commodity. Even so, no one knew much about Mike Debord? That was an upgrade.

Did they suggest their might be some relationship between the two? I thought Kongbo's decommitment had more to do other offers, mainly one from USC, that he's begun to receive after verbaling to us.
