I'm in my early 30s and I have this nightmare several times a year right around this time. There's no sugar coating this. This sucks. Hope they have grace.

This is the only recurring dream I have. I get to class and I've forgotten my homework or some big project. I'm all nervous and sick feeling about it. Then I wake up.

I'm in my mid-30's.

He has some wheels. The TD return against Kentucky Abernathy shot out like a rocket, caught a block hit the jets and ran off and left Evan to get another block.

He's tall and likes contact too. Martin, Gaulden, Foreman, and Abernathy will make CB a very good position for us with or without Sutton(preferably with 😁).

I feel sorry for those of you who still have battered vol syndrome. This bowl game is absolutely a must win. Every game is a must win.

If you feel UT is a legitimate contender next year, yes, this is a game that needs to be won. They will be rated with a win and momentum never, ever hurts.

I feel we are a legit contender for the playoff next year

Preseason rankings have zero effect on those possibilities as was mentioned in another post

Interesting stat. People have gone crazy for Berry and Sutton in the return game, and they should. But our coverage units are the best in the country.

Tennessee ranks 1st in opponent's starting field position. Teams have started their drives, on average, at the 24.3 yard line.

I have the exact same dream about three or four times a month. I'm always on campus somewhere and look at my schedule, even though it's the end of the semester, and realize there's a class on there that I never attended.

If the dream feels like torturing me enough, I will sometimes actually go to the class and either beg the professor for forgiveness or attempt to take the final anyway, even though I have no hope of passing it or the class.

What's funny is that as an undergrad, I actually bailed on two classes when I realized I couldn't pass them and I didn't need them for my major (was long past the drop date). Took the Fs and the small hit to my GPA, but ultimately doing that cost me the chance to graduate with honors, so it was a pretty stupid move (but beer was more important at that time...).

I used to have this nightmare all the time where I'd have a final for a class I had never attended, but now that I'm a professor I have a recurring nightmare where I didn't bring enough exams to class.

Cbj has to be the best special teams coach in the country.

Would be curious to know how the stats compare to Beemer in his special teams hay day across the board.

Va tech had all the blocks but I don't think their other stats were even close

We are that team now, imho. I guarantee you Bama was jumping up and down that Florida converted that 4th and 14, and didn't have to see us again in the SECC game.

Well...we hadn't seen them the first time at that point. So they couldn't have been jumping up and down about not seeing us again.

Absolutely. It should also be noted we aren't afraid to throw starters out there if we think they could be a big impact on ST. Not sure how much is on Elder's coaching and how much is on Butch's coaching. Hopefully there isn't much drop off without Elder. I know Butch takes ST very seriously in practices.

I do and it is.

It's a must win because we are playing.

This.

I feel (lady vols) like I'm arguing with a (lady vols) f'ing brick wall here but (lady vols), halting the momentum we have going (lady vols) for us right now will only be seen (lady vols) as a step back, just like any loss would (lady vols). But, no...I'm just being comical.

The bowl game is going to be so fun to watch stress free

It's isn't a game that decides a winning season

It isn't a game that determines if progress was made

It isn't a game vs a Lower ranked team

It's isn't a game that will increase or decrease my excitement for next year because it's already at fever pitch

It's a game with a lot to gain and to enjoy!

I just don't understand why we do this to ourselves.

2016 is where this entire program is pointing.

If you look at the top 6 teams of this season:

Only 2 of the 6 did the bowl game set the tone for their next season in a positive way.

Clemson embarrassed OU

Bama lost in what many thought was a game that tested their manhood

Mich state won an exciting game.

Iowa was destroyed embarrassingly

OHS sat around all year basking in their glory and played most of the season at a much lesser level than last year

So at best 2 of the 6 used their bowl game to propel their seasons.

OU, Bama, and iowa used their losses for motivation.

In no shape form or fashion is this game a must win. That's plain comical

While all true, do you believe a loss to Northwestern would be a bad loss? I do, because I believe they are not a good team. At this point in Butch's tenure, I want to see us avoiding bad losses. This is why I consider this game fairly close to a "must win."

You know that feeling you get when you completely inexcusable **** something up but don't know about it until it's too late? Well just got a big dose of that feeling.

Was doing a late night cram session for my last two finals tomorrow morning. I decided to look at the syllabus's time for the exams just to make sure the time I recorded wasn't off by a bit-- basically being slightly anal about stuff-- only to see that both exams were actually this morning... I don't even know what to do with myself right now. I emailed both professors but I might have just royally ****ed myself.

Take your professor something nice from where you work.

Not sure how a loss to the 12th rated team when your the 23rd can be considered a bad loss.

Disappointing yes Because we are favored but not a bad loss

It's a game where a huge talent and speed disparity will be on display in favor of the good guys.

And did you believe Iowa was the 4th best team in the country going into last week? The BIG West is hot slaw.
