I actually think this was the worst thing to happen to him.

Expectations will always be for 10+

I don't think he ever has another year like this.

They have had almost every break go their way. They were +10 in turnover ratio going into the FAU game. Obviously losing WG hurt the momentum of the offense. It will be interesting going into next year considering the impact players they do lose.

Anybody else thinking McElwain Flames out year two after this miracle year?

They still aren't a good football team. They just have a good record.

That program has the biggest pile of luck I have ever seen. I think they flame out especially in the first half of the season with Roids Boy out.

So since Grier is suspended the first 6 games, I assume we should expect that tennessee will be scheduled thier 7th game?

That would be fine. He won't be roided up and it would be pretty cold by that time and Florida never plays cold games. They always play the more Northern SEC teams early in the year.

Owen Williams might be the best senior. I was watching Mizzou game and he was right there every play. Even on a punt he drove his blocker back and threw him into the punter damn near blocking the kick with the OL body. Beast.

Owen is one of my favorite d tackles in recent memory. He's a bull.

I don't know what his draft status looked like a few weeks ago, but I think his South Carolina game got him paid. Foreman gets the praise (deservedly so) for his good game on Cooper and the game-sealing forced fumble, but Owen Williams was probably the best player on the field in that one. He looked every bit like an NFL prospect.

He has been pretty solid for most of the year, but here lately he's been very disruptive.

We stopped quoting Leb...is that what you're referring to?

I think a recruiting forum holiday resolution is in order. From today until after New Year's, no one should quote "Bruin.

To resist temptation, you should put him on ignore as well. Your choice to remove him after the holiday season…

Would be akin to a VN miracle, but it can happen if you just believe :)

This also shows that all players, no matter the physical ability, need time to develop. Williams and Vereen have both been pleasant surprises this year. Strip is the man. We should be very excited about the future at DL.

Hubbs said Darrell Taylor is up to 245 lbs and the staff is "extremely excited" about having him next year

That's very good news. Getting premier athletes in here and giving them a redshirt year do develop their bodies and learn technique is the one aspect this roster is missing. Taylor on DL and Richmond on OL are the start of building out this lineup and taking it from talent elite to SEC football elite.

If that TD isn't called back, cooper finishes that game with 290 yards

....wow

I'd like to say something...

all year recruiting has seemed very stale, for a myriad of very legitimate reasons (low numbers, intense focus on the season, etc).

but.... this week i've developed a serious case of the feels. I think once the season is over the recruiting trail gets hot.

take that and my feels to the bank you buncha morans

Is Vereen really a surprise though? Wasn't he the one we were so excited about two years ago before DB came and took over?

I just wanted to take the time to wish Volnation a Happy Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for. Just enjoy each and every moment with your family and friends.

Go Vols! Beat the Commodes and show them who is boss in Tennessee! :dance2::rock::clapping::pepper::aggressive:
