Is the fisher to lsu rumor still a thing? I can't see him leaving tally with a special needs kid who lives with his now ex-wife. Of course, if my ex was a Layla protege maybe I would skip town.

I'm with volatil on the field turf

Why not try it? If it doesn't work it's not like we couldn't go back to grass. We'd just be laying sod down again like we've done the past 4 years anyway. :eek:lol:

I don't care either way but a change has to be made. Either seriously improve the natural field or try the alternative.

Daniel has been awesome, but you can't argue with those other guys. Maybe based on competition faced, you could, but that is great punting

Perhaps. But did they do this:

so we don't like him to USC?

Personally, I wouldn't mind them hiring Herman. He's had a heck of a year at Houston and a solid track record as an OC, but he's still pretty inexperienced as a HC. Furthermore, it's not like Houston is a terribly difficult place to win football games. Kevin Sumlin had much more sustained success there and his SEC results have been up and down at a much better program with a better recruiting base near all the schools he alreay had recruiting in-roads.

I'm not saying that I don't think Herman can or will be a good coach one day, but he's just not that experienced as a HC yet and USC is far from the area he's most familiar with recruiting. He hasn't shown that he can build up a program in the way that, say, Jim McCelwain did at CSU. And USC will have a LONG way to go before being back to where Spurrier had them in 2013.

I'd be much, much more worried if they'd hired Fuente.

He'd be smart to go to a better job.

We stopped quoting Leb...is that what you're referring to?

Exactly.

Eventually, the number of posters with Leb on ignore reached a critical mass and they compelled the rest of the RF to stop quoting him.

When that happened, there was no one left engaging him, no one left to argue with.

I envision a similar fate for Bruin, if he doesn't knock it off.

Daniel's stats are at least as good as Utah's punter's and comparable to CSU's punter's There are no stats for SJSU's punter.

The award's website says they pay particular percentage to the of punts inside the 20. Utah's punter is at 43.7%. CSU's is at 48.8%. Daniel is at 41.8%. So they've both got him there. Still though, I think it might be hard to argue that Daniel hasn't played as much a part in our team's success (and near successes) as any punter in the nation.

Anybody else thinking McElwain Flames out year two after this miracle year?

They still aren't a good football team. They just have a good record.

They lose a lot on defense, don't they? Is Will Grier back next year? If not, they could really be hurting at QB. I think it's quite possible they take a step back next year.

UGA has Kirby Smart written all over them.

Which is dumb

I would love for them to fire Richt for smart. Saban is the reason Bama wins, not any of his assistants. AND Smart has no HC experience. Go ahead and make him head of a program like UGA and see how that works out.

Yes. They'll take some hits in the W-L column over the next few years. Won't reflect well on McElwain from the fan base.

And yet so many on volnation wanted him both times.

He won't be back till like the 7th or 8th game. They don't have a lot of SR's on defense, but they have 7 or 8 guys that could come out early. They could return anywhere from 2 or 3 starters on D to 7, 8 , or 9 or something like that.

Siap

@Kreager: .@OHSPatsFootball junior @jacobystevens7 has re-opened his recruitment. Decommits from LSU. STORY coming shortly on @dnj_com

I'm sorry to ratchet the "uniform game" up so soon especially considering there is no way to manufacture these just yet, but i don't care what you think, 😜 I just love these...

I have a hard time envisioning Mac catching lightening a bottle twice. Specifically if some of his best defensive players go early and when looking down their rising sophmore and freshman list. Their line will be somewhat better like ours was this year. QB will be a test.

This is why I have posted so damn much about us having a good class this year. Not enough people realize we have a solid solid chance to pass UF in talent for the first time in forever. If 2017 shakes out like it should and we can just land a 10 class this year we could end up ahead of them for a full cycle. That is huge huge.

I actually think this was the worst thing to happen to him.

Expectations will always be for 10+

I don't think he ever has another year like this.
