OK I feel a little Bruinesque about this subject because I've been kinda adamant about it. But if next year we have North, Malone, Smith, Croom, Williams, Perry, plus all the newbies, why not JJ to safety. This year the defensive backfield was a liability and cost us atleast two games imo. Every talent evaluator said AA and NFL talent at safety. Defense wins championships and potentially our best safety on the team is catching one to three at most passes per game.

Doug Matthews was on 104.5 today and reiterated that he is 100% confident JJ will be moved after the season. I've heard him say this multiple times over the past few weeks, so he must know something's up.

Should happen

Matthew's was suggesting JJ play both O and D a few weeks ago. This is what I would like to see.

I agree. Here is the way I see it.

Jennings as WR:
-Rotating snaps with 7-8 other guys which limits his time on the field. Just seems to be the way Butch is gonna do it.
-Sharing the ball with Hurd/Kamara/Dobbs running and the other receivers/Wolf in catches.
-All of this automatically diminishes his impact on a game because of less opportunities.

Jennings as a safety:
-On the field 80% of defensive snaps. (over 50 snaps a game)
-Doesn't need the ball to impact the game.

To me, he is such a ridiculous talent that you put him in the position where he can have the most opportunity for impact if all things are equal. Not to mention, let him, Berry, TKjr, and Griffin fight it out at safety and everyone gets better!

You can tell he's made for defense on those kickoff coverage units. He is literally pissrd if he didn't get a chance to hit the ball carrier.

If my kicker can't put it through the end zone, I'm telling him to kick it out of bounds or pooch it way up if I'm facing the Vols.

Have anyone that can field the kick cleanly as well as throw a decent pass out there...field the kick then turn and pass to Evan Berry :)

My God watch the BGSU vs Ohio game on ESPN 2... There is some idiot in the crowd that is playing a damn vuvuzela really loud when Ohio has the ball! Pizzin me off!!!

Having gone to a smaller school I get it, but disappointed watching the BG game of how few fans are in attendance. Really pathetic, this is a really good team, and what else would kids have going on on a Wednesday night.

I just feel like there's a really good chance we're going to blast South Carolina. This makes me nervous because I was nervous about the Kentucky game and we ended up blasting them, but now I'm not nervous about this game, so maybe that means we'll lose. But not being nervous about this game is actually making me nervous, which makes me wonder what that means.

I see medication in your future.

C'mon Butch.

The rebuild will be 95% done next year and you know it.

I don't know how else to interpret. It screams "I need more time". Maybe I am just looking into it too much but Butch is saying 2019 or 2020 is when our time is? LOL gtfo.
2016 is the year we need a 9 or 10+ season or he will NEVER get it done. we have 17 out of 22 upperclassmen starting next year. If he says some crap about being young again next year I will go off.
