37 years ago from right now, the Friday night before the Alabama game was starting to roll on the Strip. Soon people were spilling out of the Cumberland Avenue bars and they shut it down between 17th and 23rd.
A Kerns bread truck attempted to maneuver through the mob. The truck's shipment of bread was seized by the crowd.
I remember when movies and TV shows had quicksand in them as a hazard the hero got stuck in. Seemed to be common in the 60s/70s but you never hear of it anymore
