I don't consider fallen soldiers as wasted lives, no matter what call to duty they're answering. They're the greatest heroes that have set foot on American soil.

I disagree, I do think if the cause is bull****, their lives were wasted. On an individual level, they didn't waste their own lives. That's not what I'm saying. They deserve respect for their sacrifice. However, the government wasted their lives if the war was unnecessary and unjustifiable.
There's no way you can twist this into me not supporting the soldiers. I'm advocating a responsible military and a government that's held accountable for getting into pointless wars and getting our guys killed. Unlike you, I do think it matters if the cause is just, and necessary. Because if it isn't, then we wouldn't have soldiers dying for it in the first place.
I trust the government leaders to make those decisions. Intelligence was gathered and difficult decisions based on that information were made. Vietnam wouldn't have been so much more unpopular than any other war or conflict before it if all of them were in everybody's living room every night. The US was battling the liberal media as well as the VC and NVA. Minus Walter and his ilk the South Vietnamese would have been free people in the early 1970s. The reason that that war was so unpopular had more to do with the military not being allowed to accomplish their objective efficiently rather than the cause that drew them in.
I don't know what to tell you if you believe lives cannot be wasted because of piss poor decisions. It's unfathomable to me that you even believe that, and I have to think you're just saying it to be argumentative. I just want you to really think about that, because it's absurd on all levels. I won't even begin to address your attempt to justify Vietnam until you explain why you think it's literally impossible for our government to waste the lives of our troops.
Legality... Really?
The mind of a slave asks "is it legal?"
The mind of a free person asks "is it right?"
America is still the land of the free, right?
Funny that you bring up slaves. It was mainly whites fleeing to Canada which directly resulted in more blacks dying in Vietnam while taking their spots.
Funny that you think the word slave has an exclusive connection to any particular race.
How many of the whites fleeing to Canada were descendants of slaves and how many of the blacks serving in Vietnam were descendants of slaves?
This is one of the dumbest and most pointless questions I've ever seen posted
That was a reply to a dumb post. Keep it in context Princess.
Yeah that's so dumb that we should decide for ourselves what's right and wrong instead of having it legislated to us.
What you are babbling about now has absolutely nothing to do with the post that you are calling out.
The piss poorest decisions were caving to the extreme left element rather than efficiently taking care of the business.
Quit worshipping the idiots that were spitting on the boys when they returned home.
You're delusional. The only person worshipping anyone here is you.
You're worshipping the idiots that sent the boys to die for little reason or justification. You're worshipping this weird idea that they all had to die, and anyone who questions that hates the military.
Now answer the question. Explain how, in your mind, it is literally impossible for the government to waste the lives of our troops with poor decision making.
The first one doesn't. But I'm not holding my breath waiting for you to be factual.
