The cynicism on this board makes me sick. You call yourself a Vol and then bash other Vols for trying to help a Vol out. Maybe it was stupid to call the DA. Sorry.

Let's get on the same page and just help the kid whether he plays football again or not. A simply call to the media or an email to a media outlet asking for answers. Nobody knows the truth, but we want the truth....I WANT THE TRUTH!

UT has not handled this well. The university is going to look bad either way now. Chris Coffey is a good attorney. I'm surprised he didn't put this out there a month ago, allowing ample time for a resolution before the beginning of fall camp. I wonder if he was led to believe that Von would be reinstated and that's why he let it coast?

You maybe are a little confused, no one is bashing for trying to help a Vol out. You are throwing a tantrum because it appears to you that the DA isnt working on your schedule. Did you stop and think for a second that there is an ongoing investigation and certain facts of this case that you, I, or anyone on VN really knows about? Want to call the DA, media, University President, POTUS, whoever that's fine, but you are up in arms about a case you dont know the details to. If it was such an injustice being done to VP and that they had absolutely nothing on him, I'm sure Jones would be beating down some doors. Let things go through their proper processes and see what the outcome it. Trust me, I want him back just as much as anyone else, but many people had the same outrage with the AJ case and we see where that one is right now.

I completely concur. Everyone on here seems to be complaining about the duration of this case (especially if Von is innocent) but also bash those who take the time to see what's going on.

There are only 2 sides to this story, VP is guilty or innocent.

If he is innocent, the rape kit is negative, and no evidence or charges have been found that what's the hold up?

This isn't even about Tennessee Football. This is about Von's life. His life is literally on hold right now, in a country where "you're innocent until proven guilty" what a bunch of BS.

Let's say Von is innocent this whole time, he's already much older than most of the roster, he isn't getting younger. He can't work on his degree. He can't hang out with the peers he's known since his arrival, I mean, could he even get a job right now with all of this going on?

The point is not how pathetic calling the DA office is, it's putting someone's life on hold with no sense of urgency. Do you think this is the first rape case at UTK?

If Von is guilty he deserves punishment, but even if he's cleared and innocent he'll still always been known as a character of sexual abuse, tell me is that fair? United we stand, innocent until proven guilty- preposterous.

@bearcat - I think you should read my posts for today before stating I've thrown a tantrum and that the DA isn't working on my schedule.

I think what you'll find is that I'm trying to get an answer as to why this is taking so long. Whether it's the DA or the school or some other factor, I have no idea. I simply started with the DA and realized after reading some posts that it's probably not the best place to start. Great. Now we can turn this attention elsewhere. I'm just trying to bring this issue to light. Someone mentioned the media would be a good place to start and I agree. Just trying to use my efforts (whether Volnation agrees with those efforts or not) in the best way possible.
