“My dad was telling me a couple weeks ago, because we were talking about schools with history. He was like, ‘You want to talk about history. Tennessee is definitely one of the biggest ones.’”

Although it will be his first trip to Tennessee’s campus, he said he could envision himself picking a school he has visited only once if he comes away impressed.

“Honestly, after I visit these schools, if they make a real big impression on me, then they have me,” Fils-Aime said. “But if I visit another school and they’ve made a big impression on me and so did Tennessee, then I guess there will be a battle, really. That would be a hard decision for me.”

Fils-Aime said he’s hoping to announce his college choice on Aug. 1 because he would “like to get it over with before the season starts.”

But he doesn’t exactly view that date as a firm deadline.

“I’d like to announce on August 1,” Fils-Aime said. “That would be the day that I’d like to be able to just tell wherever I’m going that I commit, hopefully. That’s the plan. If I can’t, then I guess I’ll just take my time.”

Sounds like we got a shot at him with a good visit.

Under Butch's leadership I haven't heard of one player having a bad visit. No matter who the recruit is our staff makes them welcome and plan a visit to blow them away. Plus I remember a video that talked about how they never let a recruit have the same visit twice. They make each visit as unique as possible. We have one of the best behind the scenes staffs in the country IMO.

On Drew Richmond's first visit last year, I read accounts on here that he stayed on his smartphone and "wasn't feeling it". Also that Clemson WR from Georgia (who transferred after one year there). I'm sure there have been others, but under Dooley that type of visit was the norm...not the exception. :)

Maybe Carlin's hostess was calling Saint Richt on his burn phone, and he had it stored in his locker with his motorcycle keys and emergency neck brace.
