found out I live a mile and a half away from a fantastic burger joint that I didn't even know existed. Bacon cheeseburger and fries.

Nuggets aren't made as the myth goes. People should really look into it before they just believe everything. They're just chicken. Believe it or not.

The best hamburgers by far are made at Mom and Pop places. They're so much better than the chains that it's not funny

absolutely.

This place however calls itself a bistro and has no appearance of a mom and pop diner. It's Navy themed (barf), but the furniture and lighting is nowhere near what a mom and pop place seems.

you have my complete attention Sir. Typically I'm annoyed when anyone messes with cornbread. It's just supposed to be corn meal, an egg, milk and a little vegetable oil lining the pan to make a crispy outside. No sweeteners, no spicy additives. Just either some butter or covered in Pinto Beans. But this has my complete attention. Please tell me more.

Where at? There's a Chinese buffet here in Memphis that has a hibachi chef in there that has food so good it's shocking to be a buffet restaurant.

in Lexington TN I moved here recently. The place is surprising good for a small town buffet. There is a nice Sushi Bar in town too but they are high as hell.

It's basically cornbread with chili inside baked in a cast iron skillet in the oven. There are different variations for the meat sauce. I agree with you on how to make real cornbread.

Do you have a recipe? This sounds great.

By the way, going to Cheesecake Factory tonight. I really don't like the joint, but I have little choice in the matter. None of the dishes I've had before has been very good. (It's hard to be good at 100+ dishes that range from Italian to Thai to Cajun.)? Any recommendations, anybody?

not dinner, but I had chicken nuggets for lunch. From McD's. They were good, but I've discovered going to McDonald's and Burger King lately are like going to a real restaurant. It took 16 minutes to go through the drive thru. Only 5 cars in front of me.

I had a burrito grande from there earlier in the week. It was good.
