Yea usually a firehouse lunch involves beans homemade cornbread, slaw and sweet tea anyway that's the Memphis tradition..

Chili and meatloaf were staples it seems. My dad always made the chili and meatloaf at home. Now so do I. Thanks FFers!

Oh, leftover roast tonight.

Since everybody is on a nugget fetish, we have some good ones at our local grocery. They're cheddar stuffed chicken nuggets, best I've ever had.

Flat iron steak on the Kamado with red wine mushrooms and blue cheese mashed potatoes. I swear, that's the best bang-for-buck cut of beef available ($6.99/lb on sale at Kroger). My thermapen helped me get it perfectly cooked at 125. Rested 5 minutes, sliced across the grain... Delicious.

Nice. Flat iron and Skirt steaks are really easy to get wrong. Cook them too long and you get rubber, done just right and it's lovely.
