Well I am sorry...but good grief

Everyone loves him here. People say get over it, but no one including myself will until Tyndall or whoever else is our head coach makes at least a sweet 16. Until then we'll point to Bruce.

Off topic...

The kid in the yearbook photo with lasers that's all over the internet, I just saw the other day that he committed suicide. Sad...

Anyways, I'm mostly just pissed that we lost to Vandy.

I hate losing to those f'ers.

I hate even more the fact that we just blew this one. Outplayed them all game to get blown away last few minutes. I'm in the same boat. But yes I agree somewhat with you. It looks like Pearl is bringing in some decent talent.

I have a dream. That one day VolNation will come to the agreement that Cuonzo Martin was a decent coach that did a decent job at Tennessee. Then we can move on.

Also see he has some good recruits lined up for next season -- what doesTyndall have so far ?

Pearls track record with big time recruits isn't exactly stellar.

I don't think Pearl will win there. Not even mentioning the Tennessee>Auburn factor, he can't teach a half court offense and his press isn't effective anymore (and he doesn't use it) which takes away a significant advantage. Plus his player development isn't exactly impressive.

Please don't compare Buzz and Donnie as basketball coaches. Buzz had Slay, Haislip, Yarbrough, McFadgon, Watson, etc. if Donnie had those guys, we would be rolling. From a technical standpoint, Donnie can coach circles around Martin, Buzz, and probably Jerry Green.

I said our "program" had reached Buzz levels.. Not comparing Tyndall to Buzz. Just saying our program is once again not relevant , just like when Buzz was coaching. Heck, we won't even play in the NIT this year or next. Pretty pathetic the way our Administration handles our basketball program. Always has been

I am sorry and I have been high on Tyndall all year for what he has done with an abysmal roster, but he just let a 13 point lead turn into a 7 pt deficit from the 13 minute mark to the 6 minute mark and did not take one single timeout. Regardless of how many TV timeouts and stoppages in play that is just ridiculous to let a game get away in a matter of minutes and not do anything about it. Four TO's sitting there. Games like this are what turns fans against you because regardless if you are a great X and O coach, game management is equal to that at the college level. Before the year an NIT spot would have been great but my the middle of the year we played our way to where that should have been a certainty. Just a long, bad year, that many though it would be, but losses like this are inexcusable.
Begging your pardon, but Calipari and Kentucky would not have withstood a 39 point barrage from beyond the arc.

They withstood a 33 point barrage from Pearls squad at Auburn and still managed to score 110 points that game. So theres that. And yes his squad would have withstood the 39 point barrage from Vandy.

To be fair, most of our players (except JRich, Money, sometimes Punter/Hubbs) are liabilities right now.

More than fair. Lotta guys give great effort, have very little talent to go with it. We literally don't have one perimeter shooter that I have any confidence in.

Man up!

Everyone: this is why people were saying tamper your expectations at the beginning of the season. To pump the brakes when we were winning. We had some great wins this year and very few bad loses compared to previous UT teams...(Austin Peay, Indianapolis (D2), etc.) Vandy isn't quite on their level. They are bad, but definitely not the worse team we have lost to before this year.

This team was pieced together in a couple of months and Tyndall managed to get two wins over two ranked teams. We don't have the depth for winning done the stretch right now. We were already weak in the post at the beginning of the season and we ended up losing 2 more players. Hang in there Tyndall has shown flashes of what he can do. He's been a winner at both previous stops, he'll do the same here.

Pearl was a last second shot away from losing to a 15 seed Wofford team as a 2 seed. See,we can do this stuff all day

The Elite Eight team was fortunate not to lose a very close first round game as well. If that one goes the other way, no one cares when he gets fired.

I am so sick of people defending this blowhard as a coach. I have stated over and over this guy is a fraud, can't recruit and can't coach. People fell in love with him with no evidence and once he hit the major league of college sports he has melted like hot butter. If you want to defend this guy fine then use facts not just emotion. Please give me facts about the reason's for your love for his coaching. The facts please.

Please!!!! And I guess DT' has shown you that. Just plain jibberish.
