Cal, Auburn, and Vols all in NIT?

Yep, u just need to be on a wait and see approach this early in the process..... I agree it needs to improve. You cant feel this way and then defend Zo's lower rated class claiming potential.

Once again, never said it was great, just that it's been better to this point, simple as that

I definitely wouldn't be counting Blackwell on board, we are supposedly running around 4-5th in that race currently, White is definitely a solid get if we can hang on to him and assuming he continues to progress.

Its jmo that we get Blackwell......long way to go in that recruitment.

I'm gonna state my case on all this and then quit posting.

1. I want Tyndall to receive a fair shake from our fans. I wanted the same for Cuonzo Martin. I backed BTO on a lot of arguments during the Zo era. A lot. And I rooted for his teams til the bitter end. Although I had given up on him as being our coach of the future after the loss at Texas AM. I believe 90% of fans are very supportive of tyndall. Honestly I don't know why I spend time arguing with posters on here who criticize him even if it is unfair criticism in my opinion.

2. I think Tyndall needs to recruit at a higher level than he is currently. He's shown enough in that area for me to believe he can recruit a little but I need to see more. Specifically, I want to see what he does in the 2016 class. I really hope the NCAA cloud has lifted enough that it doesn't kill him in that class. But I don't know that fans or myself will be willing to accept a class ranked outside of the top 25 in year 3. Especially if he doesn't finish strongly in 2015.

3. I think Tyndall can coach. From what I have seen he is a superior in game coach to his predecessor.

4. He's got to tighten up the screws on the D as far as the three point shooting by other teams. That has to be fixed.

5. I'm hesitant to judge the offense because I don't think we have enough talent. Mostella and Hubbs really need to take a step next year. Remember, McRae didn't emerge as a big time player until mid way through his junior year. He was backing up McBee earlier that year. Some guys need more time to develop.

I agree....I think the D may be fixed when we don't have to help out as much inside the paint.....He definitely has some improving to do but I like what I see so far.

You don't think Punter is better than Cornish and Mostella has as much potential as anyone.....Also Mcghee showed a ton of potential is a similar player to Cofer. Austin hasn't had a chance to yet bc he plays on a good team. Turman is a stiff.

I think Cornish given his 4 years would be an upgrade over Punter, and I thibk Cofer absolutely has shown more than McGhee

I didn't ask you your opinion of Zo's versus our coach even though that is what u wanted to do....Comparing a fourth class to a first class is ridiculously biased and the fact that it can be debated is pathetic imo.....I asked do u think his recruiting was good enough to be a very consistent tourney team and a solid program.

First part...then we can compare Year 2 classes come April.

Second part...I have already answered this for you.

I like what I see as far as a coach more than the previous coach, his ability to get in the talent to win at the level we expect is my biggest concern. If he can recruit top 25 classes consistently I have very little doubt he will have us winning at a very high level.

u said yr four showed potential and then went back to comparing it to CDT.....potential or not was his recruiting better than our competition iyo?

Since you apparently missed it...

It was very close IMO, I thought he deserved a 4th year and that the incoming class had a lot of potential, which is being proven by their freshman seasons at their respective schools.

Zo had a ton of near misses, which I get don't mean much, but when you think of if he landed Nichols and Looney how much different things would've looked and been perceived, it's hard to say much. Would making that Sweet 16 have made it to where we landed those guys instead of finishing 2nd? We will never know, but it's worth mentioning IMO

One guy had 3 years to recruit his guys, the other had about 3 weeks to recruit his. Given that, the argument should not be as close as it is.

Agreed, which is why I've said even looking at both of their first 2 years recruiting classes it doesn't bode well for CDT.

Why's that? Because I think 1 sweet 16 every 3 years is "CLOSE" to being good enough?

I wasn't talking about one season I asked about recruiting with no top 25 classes and the last one in the 40-50 range....I don't think the sweet sixteen every 3 yrs would have been sustained.

You must've missed the other parts of that post then...I said it was close, but admitted not good enough. I said close because we finished 2nd for some very highly rated guys, what would those classes have been ranked had they included Nichols and Looney?

2 players and all of a sudden he's likely got 3/4 top 25 classes, what's your stance on him then if the seasons all played out the same?

I don't count any of that bc we will always be able to finish second fiddle to other teams.....Look at Clarke ( who he actually had committed) and Vaughn......I would have felt better about Zo if he had of at least had viable back up plans or recruited to his system better.

Also, we have had Ado on campus multiple times but it doesn't count if he signs elsewhere.

I count Clarke as a reason to have optimism about CDT's recruiting ability, maybe you don't, to each their own.

As for back up plans, who the heck was CDT's backup plan at PG in the 2014 or more so the 2015 class seeing as how it was evident to everyone we needed a PG. He ID'd and had us in the race for Bacon, but when that fell through we have been in scramble mode.

I will make that complaint when I see who he gets......if he brings in an Armani Moore to be our PG then u better believe I will be pissed and the doubt will grow every yr until Im ready for Hart to fire him. U seem to be wanting to make that decision before things actually happen. I don't think Zo recruited well enough here and im far from sold on CDT's recruiting.
