Ukraine Protests

Pretty good article. I'm curious as to the status of Savchenko as well, not sure too many people know her story. Not sure if you agree but I have issues with the resuming of social security payments and amnesty provisions.

I would hope at minimum a public declaration disavowing any foreign allegiances and citizenship. Make them swear allegiance to Ukraine. At least have it documented who these people are and what side they are on. You get Ukrainian money you better be wrapping up in the colors.

Like their use of the word hypothetically to summarize the terms. And yeah, this is going to happen, voluntarily

of course the Russians fighting in Ukraine aren't foreign because there are ethnic Russians in Ukraine, and that also implies someone is in charge of the foreigners. :eyeroll:

I'll be honest. I just wanted to use the word provocateur in a post.

And for some reason, I keep hearing Sean Connery speak it in a British accent when I see it written.

Word is a lot of heavy equipment moving north to Debaltseve. Basically, the world just gave Russians a two day free pass to take it before the cease fire. A potential for mass murder could be in the making and not just Putin will have blood on their hands.

Putin was never going to let the Ukrainians hold Debaltseve. It is massacre waiting to happen.

Rebels won't sign the #Minsk deal without Ukraine handing over crucial #Debaltseve, separatist leader Pushilin suggests to Russian journos

This ceasefire will never hold. Too many people don't want it, led by the US. The accusations of Putin and Russia are out en masse today. Putin played a constructive role in this ceasefire, but he's already being blamed for it's inevitable failure.

The bottom line is that there is too much money to be made by arming terrorists, arming countries at war and fighting wars ourself.

Again, warmongers gotta warmong..

Pic or it didn't happen....

Seriously, what constructive role did he play in a conflict that he is stoking? The fact that troops and equipment are still coming across his border....is that constructive? Or just ripping up the first Minsk agreement? I'd love to see some evidence to your claim. I already know the answer and the facts of the matter but please humor me.

Do you honestly think the rebels will be content with still being apart of Ukraine?

They had celebrations in Donetsk and Luhansk today proclaiming independence. Either they did not get the memo of what was in Minsk II OR they know something we don't.

Why would they agree to the terms laid out if they didn't?! They hold the trump cards with 8k soldiers surrounded and the Ukrainian army folding like a cheap suit. The common Ukrainian doesn't want this war, only the puppet politicians.

Regardless of what western media spin is put on it the people of the Donbas were attacked when they opposed the regime change. They are defending themselves and their region. They have a purpose..

I have this weird geek thing for Marie Harf and Jen Psaki.

First off they were not at the table, so unless you're implying they are controlled by the Kremlin they did not agree to anything.

If that's the case the Ukrainians should say screw it and not resume social payments nor pay for reconstruction. Let them see how truly the Russian Federation cares for the people of Donbass than.
