Four scholarship QBs on the roster is healthy...five would be perfect. Doesn't matter what year you get them...get to that number and you have breathing room and you can afford to take one a year...I hear that's how USC did it. :)

I think you're assigning negative moral qualities to our coaches with little evidence they exist. The only recruit you can truly point to is Ferguson who made a statement we told him he would be the only QB. And we've seen that Ferguson had no desire to compete, so I'd say that's more indicative of his character than Butch's.

UT still recruiting other QB's is simply covering ones bases in case the worst were to happen. I'd be willing to say with 95% certainty that Butch has no intentions of taking another QB in 2016

In both Dormadys and Jennings threads you will find quotes saying something similar per the recruits. Yes, it's only happened twice. Of course that's the only 2 years QBs were signed. AK said he was told he was it. Offers go out to other QBs. Its only reasonable IMO a kid would question the situation given the history. Jmo

There are also quotes saying they were fully informed the whole time. So basically you're cherry picking evidence.

Butch takes care of the roster and gets the required depth to run a championship quality program...at the present moment, all 3 of Dormady, Jennings and AK are enthusiastic members of an extremely talented roster...I agree with you...Butch is knocking it out of the park!

Quotes from the recruits or from fans on the board? If there were quotes saying they knew all along Butch was taking 3 QBs, yes I must have missed them.

Or it may be a situation like a little bit ago. A claim of what was said, then quotes showing it not the case. It happens. I'd like to see the quotes if ya got em.

Looks like QB recruiting will once again be Leb's #1 topic that he runs into the ground this class.

2014 - DL recruiting and numbers.

2015 - Numbers, taking 3 QB's and Torrance Gibson

2016 - Spinoff from 2015's 3 QB gripe and how it's affecting 2016 recruiting. I'm sure numbers will be brought up later on. Class is probably already full with 7 commits IMO. Looks like we will beat his target date of September.

I have zero interest in looking for old quotes. If that means you win the argument by default, so be it.

When UT took Jones, I mentioned in Kendall's thread I expected some issues would arise. We'll see. My gripe was taking 3 in a class will hurt going forward. We'll. See.

After Torrance decides to transfer, I'd still pass.

I'm figuring having the class full mid Dec is about right. Especially if they establish the early signing period.

Like the USC stuff. At times I just want to see if there is any truth to it at all. Obviously with that, there wasn't.

CBJ will continue to recruit Guarantano hard just as we expect him to. While I expect Kendall to be a Vol, CBJ can't totally depend on his commitment. Kids change their minds. I believe we will take 1 QB in the 2016 class; and like I said, I expect it to be Kendall. Kendall or Guarantano, which ever signs, will reshirt and be ready to start by 2017 or 2018 if needed.

Lot edgier when you do research Leb...I like the freestyling carefree Joe that just gives opinions for what they are worth. :)

I remembered USC always stocked with top QBs and recruiting the next year's top ranked...they were never down to two scholarship QBs and I relied on that memory instead of googling it...good thing we do this out of love huh Leb? :) I'd have been forced to retire and move to Hawaii. :gone:

I'm not there full time just yet. Don't worry though, rest assured once I am the internet will be firing on all cylinders and set to VN. With my view off the back of the house, it will inspire legendary discussions. LOL
