Only thing I can think of is, with as many of these cases that have come out across the country of late, and the varying ways that they have been handled, the DA is trying to make sure they have all the T's crossed and the I's dotted.

Does seem to be taking too long though.

Backlog is more the problem at this point. Grand Jury is hearing cases where the accused are in custody before AJ's. Investigation has been complete for a while.

@knoxnews: DA: No grand jury review yet in rape claim against Johnson, Williams | DA: No grand jury review yet in UT rape claim against Johnson, Williams - News Sentinel Story

There's a new DA in Knox County. Possibility that the evidence shows part of the claims may be impossible to prove and part easy to prove. They may be at a standstill on pursuing only part of the charges because it will hurt their case. Someone will have to tell the DA's office that they can change the charges if what they have can't be proven.

Well that's the curse of being on the oline - fans typically only notice you when you screw up because there's nothing flashy about the 95 percent of the time you're just grinding it out on the line and everything's going ok. I imagine it takes a certain mentality to be on the line knowing the only time most will notice you is when you mess up.

And no doubt about Crowder's legacy, he showed everyone how wrong they were when he wasn't there to snap the ball.

I know you did not mean it that way, but, some of us knew Mac would get it done at C. Most importantly the coaches did.

I've been confident Crowder would be a great OC for UT for a long while. I've seen nothing to make me rethink that. Mack is doing just fine.

No he's not. He was as bad as anyone about pass pro and run blocking.
You guys act like snapping the ball properly is a C only job. Just cause Weisman screwed up snaps you act like Crowder is an all sec C. If Thomas or Weisman get the snaps down, they should be taking his spot. Crowder is not a starter on any other top SEC team imo.

Some people could use a refresher course in the use of decency and tact. There is a way to express displeasure without denigrating a person.

Been watching the news story about Vandy football player Corey Batey being interviewed by Dr. Phil and his claim of not knowing or remembering anything about the crime. Didn't he send out some texts on his phone shortly after this happened? Seems like I recall that being said when the information first came out.
I've never seen anyone that was so drunk they couldn't remember anything they did if they had any control over their body. If they were that drunk they would be unable to stand or even sit up and in most cases passed out. His jury didn't believe his crap story and I don't either.

I'm not saying I believe his story or defending him, I think they lied and covered it up and knew what was happening, but this can happen. It's called black-out drunk. It happens when you drink too much in a short amount of time. You can function normally while your body is still processing it, but it eventually will catch up to you. Not saying it's happened to me, but I have seen it happen. You usually don't realize it until you wake up on the toilet and check your texts and call logs.

I have blacked out before, you can not function "normally". Can you function? Yeah, to a degree, but so can someone who is tripping balls on LSD. You can accomplish the simplest of tasks in terrible fashion, but I guess they are still accomplished. Anything approaching any level of complexity is completely beyond someone who is black out drunk.

To black out you have to be drunk to a near life threatening degree, such people have a hard enough time just standing up unaided.
