That video is awesome. But they forgot one of the best plays of the year.

I didn't see Smith's leap either.

8 to 10 wins is a reasonable expectation IMO.

I agree. I think the only reason we would go below 8 would be catastrophic injuries (e.g., Dobbs or both RBs). We just have too much going for us right now, and the SEC East is a total wasteland outside of Georgia at the moment. Plus, picking up Arky from the West isn't that intimidating to me. I think it's better than Auburn, LSU or A&M.

They will likely do another. I know they made two highlight videos from 2013 and used different plays.

And if not, they may have just not had any great "non-TV" footage to use of those plays.

POA's 2014 highlights are WAY better. I watched them again last night. Very solid work done there, POA! :hi:

Things the Football Forum said were great
- Fulmer Hiring Dave Clawson as OC in 08
- Firing Fulmer in 08
- Not hiring Gary Patterson because he was too much like Fulmer in 08
- Hiring Lane Kiffin in 08
- Kiffin letting John Chavis go and bring in Monte Kiffin in 08
- Dooley hiring Sal Sunseri in 2012

Things the football forum said were terrible
- When we missed out on Charlie Strong
- Butch as a recruiter
- John Jancek and Willie Martinez
- Old White Bald guys relating to today's youth
- Butch hiring Debord

Hmmm I like this trend.

Sorry for the long post fellow Vols. I did not realize it was that long.

we will let it slide this time. :)

Couple of points.
1. not sure who would have been a 100% home run hire that was available this late in the process. maybe someone was, but not sure who. I know some names were thrown out, but I don't think we had a real shot at an established proven OC, because I don't think we are at a point where they would pay a million plus and then have to bump the entire staff's pay again so soon. not saying that is right, jmo of the reality of the situation.

2. If the game plan is too conservative, that falls on Butch regardless of who the OC is.

:hi:

Predictions...Who will be the top offensive and defensive MVPs next year? Offensive - Josh Malone. Defensive - D. Barnett (again).

Sorry to be redundant with my gripe from yesterday, but one of the nutjobs on Four Quarters on WVLZ just suggested the fate of Tennessee football under Butch Jones as "caretaker" may turn out to be no different that the fate of, wait for it, JonBenet Ramsey (who also had a caretaker)...he's trying to say that just because Tennessee football has a "caretaker" doesn't mean that things will turn out for the best.

Those guys have GOT to go.

That is utterly weird...radio stations love hosts who generate calls ...whether good or bad...but that kind of comment should cost advertising.

I can't help but wonder if Mahoney will be finding a new opportunity between today and Spring practice. And, Sheridan takes on a full-time role as QB Coach.

Someone asked Hubbs on VQ if Mahoney would still be on staff and Hubbs replied "I think so."

Sounds pretty iffy to me.

If that was a Butch quote, it'd carry weight...sounds like Hubbs was surprised at the question.
