A little known radio host said that he was told by a member of the staff that Butch quietly flew out to New York to to interview the Jets new receivers coach Karl Dorrell for the open OC job and came back to Knoxville very pleased with the interview.

Doyle has said he leans skeptical (For good reason with what we have been thru),

I lean positive (Because I really need something to look forward to) and I always enjoy conversing with him...

I think some of you guys take your role in the outcome of things a little too serious.

YES but will it also not be HILARIOUS when CBJ hires the water boy from the jets and wins games ? See , That is the thing . Vn Has decided on one or 2 guys , That you will accept LMAO on that one . You do know why The Original Grudites are objects of hilarity , do you not ? It was not the hope of the BIG name hire . It was the STUPIDITY that they came with it . Jake , Little DTO Them guys sold BULL Crap as reality . I could give a crap less if CBJ hired YOU if he thought it was the thing to do .

Maybe you're right.
All I know is the Gruden rumors were the most exciting thing about that miserable season. They were the only thing that kept me from going completely homicidal. Lol

Spin whatever you like however you like. You're right, I have no say who Butch hires and I will have to accept it. Doesn't mean I have to like it. It doesn't mean I cannot voice my opinion about it on this message board. It's hilarious that you feel the need to make fun of those, who just like you, are just voicing their opinions. I have never said if Debord is hired it's the end. Nor have I said UT football will never recover. I NEVER wanted Gruden.

I have said that IMO the offense could take a step back under Debord. I also have stated my concern over a guy being considered for an OC that hasn't called an offensive play in 8 years. I am also concerned about recruiting. How will the recruits view the hire? Some say that shouldn't be a factor. I believe it should be a HUGE factor. Some say that we shouldn't choose an OC to appease a player (Williams), however losing a recruit like him would hurt Butch's rebuilding efforts a little.

Hey I could be tiotally wrong about everything. Butch may hire someone totally different than anyone here on VN thinks. Then again Debord could come here and our offense be more explosive than we could imagine. If he comes here and does well then I will be the first to admit my stupidity for doubting him. I just don't see it happening. Would you think it's hilarious if Butch hires Debord and continues to lose 6 games a year because the offense is putrid?

I'm probably repeating myself but:

My first car was a 71 Charger.

It wasn't the brand as much as the "freedom" it represented. On straightaways -lightening. On curves -kinda like a tractor.

That's my dads favorite car. He has had a Demon, Road Runner, Barracuda and I don't remember what else. When I was growing up and in high school I drove a Road Runner. I like Dodge and Plymouth muscle cars myself. But yes I agree that's how his Road Runner drove.

Yeah, going strait, Hemi was pretty much king. Lord forbid there be a turn though.

FWIW, the car was older than me and now, child restraints take priority. lol
