Let's ask the right question!

There are 345 basketball teams in Division I. How many of you would rather see our cu

So best case scenario, winning back to back NIT Championships will get you a regular season win over a young, undermanned Tennessee team that was picked to finish 13th in the SEC....9 years later?

It was South Carolina's master plan the whole time. Never the fact they are 126 and 141 since winning back to back NIT's. Tonight is the night they build on those NIT championships.

SD, could you ever locate that mythical Power 5 team that rang in as 16-seed, or are you just ignoring this giant crater in your theory?
Just part of the scam that power conference teams are head and shoulders above elite mid-major programs. They make it as hard as they can for the little guy to advance and as easy as possible for the big guys to advance. You should know that. It's all about the money!

And all those teams would have traded their NIT appearance for an NCAAT bid.
I doubt if Minnesota would, they won under 1st year coach Richard Pitino. That goes to the heart of my question, you know you have won the NIT, would you rather lose in round one of the NCAA? 80-90% say yes in the two polls. Beyond me.

Why can't you just admit that you have no idea what you're talking about.

That's because you've more than proven you have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to college basketball.

You still haven't answered my questions about SC, so I'll take a page out your book and continue to ask:

1) How many NCAAT appearances has SC had since their back to back NIT Championships?

2) How many winning seasons have they had since their back to back NIT Championships?

I know you won't understand this but I'll say it anyway. No one has claimed that there is a cause and effect relationship with your posturing.

Except you said an NIT championship would give the program "huge momentum" for next season.

But you changing your argument is typical so I'm not surprised.

Confidence and momentum for the next season. That's what I think an NIT Championship would bring. That's not an easy task facing the 32 teams that didn't make the tourney like the 29-3 Southern Miss team with a 34 RPI from last year. Isn't it ironic that Tennessee was one of the worst of the worst last year? And, goodness gracious, what kind of momentum did that blowout of Iowa give the football team for the coming year?

Try again.

no change there of course if they won it out would give them huge momentum guess you haven't heard the football team saying how much momentum they have from the bowl game tired of sparring with you buzz off

The last time I'll ask....how much momentum did SC get after winning 2 NITs?

Cause and effect. If you think winning a 32 team tournament wouldn't give you momentum going into the next season, what else can I say,

Might, but I think a first year coach and a thrown together at the last minute team, called by many no talent and picked 13th in conference making the show would generate a lot more.
Talk about over achieving.

SC must be weird then since that "momentum" was a losing record the next year.

I have heard so many times about those 5* recruits that are clamoring to get on teams that didn't have to go to that NCAA thing & have to deal with the Post Season attention. It is SUCH a hassle.
The NIT is so much more laid back and fun.
