He shouldn't be in too much trouble for this. However, I was unaware (and I'm in law school) that the "not my car" excuse clears everyone in the car of any culpability to marijuana possession charges. It sort of makes sense since the weed was in a storage compartment of the car rather than in their technical posession, but still. Especailly since Tabor has been arrested for possession before.

I like the part of the story where the car was pulled over with "smell of marijuana". They find marijuana and charge no one with possession of marijuana.

Stephen Hargis of the Chattanooga Times did, as volatil reference above.

I may be misremembering, but I thought Hargis stated this after the fact. I thought he came out after hiring Butch or Gruden publicly turned us down and said that there were talks.

I do know that WREG in Memphis reported that Gruden had a contract in hand, but he hadn't made a decision.

It was a silly time. People can laugh all they want, but I heard enough rumblings from different areas that I firmly believed that Gruden at least discussed the job with someone at UT.

Hargis linked a HS coach in East Tennessee to Grudens staff. He claimed it was agreed upon.

It doesn't. Been a criminal attorney for over 9 years. That excuse doesn't always fly. As always, each case can turn on the facts. The link would help with the State's case. I guess they got a little help from the local police.

Ok, fair enough. Just couldn't remember if he was actively reporting that or reported it after Gruden publicly turned us down. You are correct as I just googled it.

Looks like ole Charlie finally getting his hands dirty in TX recruiting. He is taking full advantage of TX AM not having a DC and with that being his strength he is bringing it hard
