The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

You believe in Vandy more than I do. If they are anything like this year, there are no definite wins for Mason and co.
I dislike Vandy as much as the next guy, but they will be improved from this past season. Their improvement still equals to being awful, but just not as awful as in 2014. At the very best the win all 4 of their non-coference games and finish 4-8. At the very worst they finish 1-11. They most certainly will beat Austin Peay. In my eyes, in order from greatest to least chance wise, their best shots at wins are:

1: AP
2: Houston
3: MTSU
4: WKU
5: Kentucky
6-12: Doesnt matter, they have no chance.

Vandy has zero chance to win an SEC game in 2015. I'll have to go with 2-10 for Vandy with wins over Austin Peay and MTSU(Houston is better than MTSU).

I agree with the 0 chance at an SEC win. I just checked Houstons record, and for some reason I had it in my head they finished with a losing record. Maybe thats because they just fired their coach. After seeing they finished 7-5 while playing in a tougher conference than MTSU, I would now switch up my picks. MTSU will be an easier win than Houston would be.

2015 will be Derek Mason's farewell tour:eek:lol::lol:

I'd rather not. I'd love it if they kept him as long as possible myself. He's a great credit to their program and a diamond in the rough!

(prefer not to get someone in that might be able to get them to a .500 level)

No matter who VU hires it'll be a decade or more until they go to another bowl game.

Vanderbilt is in a skill position coma. They will get throttled again next yr by their schedule. Third OC/DC in as many years.

MTSU will definitely not be a shoo-in. They hate Vanderbilt, and will be hyped up for the game. Since they've been in D1 FBS, MTSU has learned what it's like to deal with Vandy's fanbase on a regular basis, and they will want this game badly. MTSU beat Vandy in 2001 and 2005, so they're due.

Beat them in 2002 as well. MTSU holds a 3 game winning streak over the Dores.

Do you know why the Vandy football team should change its name to the “Possums”?

Because they play dead at home and get killed on the road.

Wait... Don't you have to have relevancy before you can lose it?

They had a couple of decent years. I credit that entirely to Franklin though.

Otherwise, whatever credibility they had going into this season was destroyed when Temple put a wing whuppin on them.

I put that more on the worst SEC East there has ever been by far. Yes, Franklin brought energy, but it's just been sad as hell lately in this part of the conference.

Some guy on there actually said Vandy brought more fans to their BBVA Compass Bowl than Tennessee will bring to the Gator Bowl.

We don't "bring" them...they VOLuntarily buy tickets and show up.

There's nothing in those excerpts that are damning to Vandy in anyway, not even its reputation. In addition to the geeks on academic scholarships there; there's plenty of spoiled, old-money kids who party like rock stars and sleep around. Welcome to college.

It sounds like Stallings may really be looking out for the kid cause if he publishes it he may embarrass himself moving forward. Everyone has done stupid things, especially in college, but you don't put it on your resume. In essence, that's what he'd be doing.

Personally I would bet a good deal of what he wrote is highly exaggerated if not flat out made up.

And I'm not surprised in the least Clay Travis loves it.
