I don't think you get it. The worst vandy team in modern history just went toe to toe with us for 4 quarters.

Somehow Vandy always plays up to UT and we play down to them. We WON and we are going bowling. Here's to wishing the Vols show up for game #13.

I'm not happy with the way things went in the game, but I'm happy with the end result and what means an opportunity at a 7th win. Go Vols!!!

Please.

In 1997, a 2-8 Vanderbilt team came into Neyland and played against Peyton Manning and the #3 Tennessee Volunteers. We only won 17-10. Vanderbilt has a tendency to play us tough.

Just because we played awful in 97 doesn't make it alright to play that poorly tonight. Vandy is one of the worst teams in the country statistically and we were lucky to win. SMH.

This. Exactly this. Times a million.

Injuries killed us. Tonight alone, Hurd, North, Croom and Crowder. HUGE losses on offense. I won't even count AJ and Willams.

23 true freshman we started. Zero players started on either line. We play in the toughest conference in the country. That's all you need to know.
Look at the 2 Deep..... We aren't losing many and we have a lot of young talent that will be more experienced. The extra practices with the Bowl game will be VERY helpful.

We have what we have, we were hoping that Butch and company could mold and form it into something. We are unhappy with the results and the product being put on the field.

Wow, I really can't fathom that any fan would complain regardless of what the score of this game was. Most logical fans realize that Vandy is going to put forth their best effort against us and any win is a good win, especially when we are missing 3 of our most impactful players (Hurd, North, AJ) as well as our starting center. Just be happy we got the win and are going to a bowl game. GO VOLS!!

This simple... If just crowder starts we win by 20 tonight

Not even close. I take it you're not old enough to remember the pre-James Franklin and Bobby Johnson years.

Vandy almost always plays us tough. Peyton even had lackluster games against the Commodores when they were horrid.

The extra practices leading up to the bowl game are very important for our young team to set us up for next year. That is really huge in the big picture.

Facts...They are not welcome on V/N or are they appreciated, because they are detremental to some folks argument.:)

We should win every game by 45 points.(blue font)

Fsu has barely beat almost every opponent, yet they are undefeated and going to the playoffs with a win next week. A confrence win is a win. We are going to a bowl game a playing a game in December. Be happy!

Stole this from GLDunlap

"When Peyton was the QB here we beat Vandy 12-7, 14-7 and 17-10. Vandy won 7 games total in those 3 years. It's football".

VolFan 76, You either don't know what you are saying or you intentionally lied.

I made a statement, not a complaint.

We replaced both lines, had a killer schedule, had crucial injuries, had the captain of the team get suspended, and we are going to a bowl game. Tonight was ugly and we limped through the finish line, but what do you expect when you have backup guards playing tackle.

Give Butch some time.

When we suck next year, whats going to be the excuse?

BTW, I dont think we're going to suck next year, but I dont think we'll win more than 7-8 games,
so people are still going to beetch.

If somehow we can patch an oline together we win 10... That's all we need

No u r an utter suckin embarrassment as a fan

Yeah, for thinking we played poorly because we could barely hold off arguably the worst team in the history of the SEC. A team who was blown out at home vs Temple and blew out Charleston Southern by 1 grand point. You're right. What kind of fan would point that out? I should be banned for pointing that out.

I'm changing my tune. We were great out there today boys. Who wouldn't take a 7 point win and being out gained in total offense against that mighty 3-8 Vandy team. My bad wookie for offending you and VolNation.
