ok, we tried to lose this game but didn't.

If we play above our level, but lose the game... some will say, "a loss is a loss"

so... in this case: A Win is a Win! ... and this one comes with a bowl full of music.

The worst Vandy team in modern history was 1-10 (or 2-10 if you're doing that Florida Gators thing where nothing before 1991 counts). This Vandy team went 9-4 the previous two years before getting their coach snatched away last season. Totally different mentality from Widenhofer or Brown or any of those yokels, even if their performance was abysmal.

Also lost by a combined 12 points to the 3 top SEC East teams combined. Its the end of a year where we got battered and beat down, and still made bowl eligibility. There's always something to complain against i guess.

If you are excited we made a bowl despite how then why worry what others think? I'm in the happy crowd but I can understand why some would have reservations moving forward. If a few people aren't happy so what? Yet the majority of threads right now consist of telling them why they should be. Who is it you're trying to convince?

Haha ok. I'm chill as the flip side of the pillow tonight. I'm happy about the positives achieved in the season but I'm not getting hammered drunk celebrating a fairly ho hum ending either.

Butch has done his job extremely well this year. You'll not find any posts by me to the contrary. Now Mahoney or Bajakian...you could find a few.

While I pretty much agree with this...... The OC was flat out awful and Dobbs was really bad as well. There is some coaching blame to be thrown this week.

I can be happy that we won and are going bowling. I can also be damn disappointed that we were one punt return away from a possible loss.

I agree we r going bowling n that's positive but if u look at the big picture of this staff against the other staffs n sec its not promising.. the off staff is a joke and can't attack the weakness of any team n if the sunshine sheep can't see that then get ready for a lot of 8 wins seasons n no sec championships but u guys really don't want that.. you really want Johnny ball back n take 15 years to win a championship..but cbj loves tn..
