Different types of TE for different systems, so it would be hard to say. Oliver just fits CBJ's offense better. You could see on tape that he knows how to block DB's. In CBJ's offense he'd be split out more, and usually only have to chip DE's when on the line.

Totally agree. All the people dogging Tennessee talent and how we HAD to rely on out of state talent....not the case anymore. CBJ's been able to make a pretty decent living off of in-state talent, thus far.

The job this staff did last was nothing short of remarkable...signed 11 of the top 13 players in state.

Jury still out on this year. I'd call it a success if we wrap up richmond, phillips, jefferson, & ordway.

I think we land them all but Richmond, wish he would commit to us, we could use him pancaking fools at the LT position for 3-4 years. I just hope it won't be Bama.

Oliver will have some top offers before this next season is over.

Just about half our class, thus far, is all TN players. We;ll likely pull at least 2 of those 3. That's putting up a fence around the state.

I think Oliver will get his 4* during the season as well as a handful of the current 3* commits. Austin Smith will get his. Picou, Cherry and Dormady (only a 4* on 247) Rocky Reid and Dylan Jackson, also.

Oliver has that perfect frame, body type to add muscle, good hands and keep the speed like a Jimmy Graham. Official Twitter TE

Cherry is already a 4* on Rivals and 247.

Smith and Dormady (made a huge jump to 4* on 247 last month) are the only two I see making huge jumps.

I don't see Reid, Jackson, or Oliver getting bumps.

Agreed, Reid would be the most likely of the bottom 3 imo.

I think they like both we just need another hybrid guy more than traditional for this class. Helm is the only hybrid guy we really have on roster. So it was probably what they really wanted this year.
