SIAP, but I found this article on the OSU forum about TG
COLUMBUS, Ohio Four-star quarterback Torrance Gibson recently rearranged his top seven after taking a visit to Tennessee this week.
But the visit has nothing to do with Ohio State's new spot."
Here's the new list, in order: Tennesse, Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma, Central Florida, Miami (Fla.) and Ohio State.
So why are the Buckeyes, once one of Gibson's top schools, at the bottom of his list all of a sudden?
"I don't know - I am not even sure," Gibson told cleveland.com in a phone interview Thursday evening. "They are just dropping right now because a lot of coaches have been in contact with me, and I haven't been in contact with any of their coaches since I don't know when."
So 178.90 yard passing and ALMOST 2 TD is a pretty kicka$$ season for you?
I think it's pretty impressive for a HS QB, expecially when you consider the fact that there was also a 2,000yd running back in the same offense.
That's nearly 5,000yds of production from a QB and RB on a HS team.
I believe Jalen Hurd is as good or better than Sony Michel and our receivers are among the best in the world. I'd be happy with a 2-2,500yd passing (is it really a stretch to believe he could increase his passing production by 100-600+yds with our WRs catching the balls?), 1,000yd rushing QB, and a 2,000yd rusher. 5-5,500 yards of production from 2 offensive players is a good season. In theory, that would be worth 50+ TDs, or 350pts. Over a regular season, that equates to 30pts per game.
I'd be happy with that production from our offense.
He scored 29TDs in HS. At the college level, that translates to an average of 17pts per game. 17pts from one player, every single game... sign him up - immediately.
I point out the RB production because it's obvious that TG was not a 1 man show, like we see with so many all-universe HS QB's. He was, and is, on a team with nationally renowned players and he's able to be at the head of the class.
Serious question...what's your assessment of his offensive line...reason I ask, he does A LOT of backward running which ain't going to work on a regular basis in the SEC...is he running for his life or by design...it was his first season at QB, so maybe that improves with experience.
