'15 FL QB/WR/DB (anything he wants) Torrance Gibson

Tim Tebow ring a bell?? He's another example of a run first, throw second. Obviously didn't work out too well for him in the pros.

Don't forget that Tebow was Urban Meyer's ideal quarterback, so the play-style concern applies to OSU just like it does to Auburn. At either school, Torrance Gibson would probably run 15-20 times a game and win a ton of games, but he'd lose out on millions of dollars for his first NFL contract by tanking his draft stock.

If Gibson wants a shot at winning championships AND preparing himself for the next level, UT's a far better choice. Hopefully Butch Jones and Jon Gruden can drill that point home when he visits this weekend.

The past is the best indicator of the future. He is not putting in the work today. He would be posting it like a billboard if he was.

This is absolutely asinine, man. And if that's your ludicrous method of attempting to determine what you cannot possibly know, he posts videos of himself putting in work all the time on social media.

So I just checked TG's blog out. There's some interesting stuff in there.

I will definitely take the time to relax this summer, but, being a football player, I have to put in a lot of work too. I'll be doing a bunch of different camps this summer and taking a bunch of different visits to colleges.

I'm going to Tennessee for quarterback camp and I went to Auburn for Big Cat weekend this past weekend. I'll be headed to The Opening too. I'm more focused on getting better this summer.

I'm working on my footwork, staying in the pocket and just developing as a quarterback.

I definitely want to find time to go on vacation with my family to the beach just to grill out, kick back and spend some family time and relax. That's always fun.

Right now, I'd have to say that Tennessee and the Auburn are the leaders. Like I said, I went to Auburn, I'm going to Tennessee and I'll be going to Miami soon. Those are the only visits for now, but there will be more. I just don't know when.

I enjoy the whole recruiting process; I think you've got to. You only go through this once and I think it's important to make it fun.

The only thing that is crazy is how rumors get put out that aren't even a little bit true. I heard that I was suspended from school for getting into an altercation with a teacher. Then someone tweeted that I got into a fight at school and got suspended, but, of course, none of that stuff ever happened. I've learned to laugh; people love attention and they live off of that. I just laugh and keep it moving. It's so crazy and so not something that I would do that it makes it even funnier.

Of course there are rumors about where I'll end up going to play in college; I think I've heard that I'll be at every school on my list at least once. I've been hearing that I'll commit early before the season too, and I've never said that either. I'm not committing that early.

When I'm not training, I'm usually just hanging out with my nephew. He's turning 8 years old and he's the only boy and there are a lot of women in my family so I just try and keep him with me so he can have a male figure in his life because I didn't have that growing up. I just do whatever he likes to do whether it's just hanging out, throwing the football or playing video games.

Well people, thanks for reading my blog; I'll get back with you. Right now it's time to get back to work and keep living life.

One love.

Looks like he just dispelled all the ridiculous rumors that some posters on this board have taken as facts. Seems like a pretty good kid to me, especially after reading that last paragraph.

That helps. Those rumors had me ready to move on from TG as a prospect. Good that they are not true. Still thinking beating out AU for this guy will be extremely tough.

Sounded to me like he skated around it pretty good. He just said the reasons why were not true. Had he not been suspended/kicked off the team, I think he would have said that directly to squash those "rumors".

JMO

Have to be encouraged by the fact that we're still co-leaders after his visit though. Really good sign.

Also, for what it's worth, I know plenty of people who graduated college and still can't properly use a semicolon. That blog entry was very well-written for a man of his age.

I've seen video interviews with TG and the kid seems extremely well-spoken and respectful. He's much more like Josh Dobvs than, say, Terrelle Pryor in that regard.

He did not say he was not suspended. He said the reasons were not true. Had he not been suspended, IMO he would have just come out and said that.

IMO there was way too many sources saying it was true for it not to have happened at all. 247, Scout, Rivals, ESPN, Various twitter media folks, it was all lover the place.

It's amazing all the comments saying whether he's closer to Josh Dobbs or Terrell Pryor in regards to being intelligent.

And saying the USA Today had to have an editor to make sure his blog was grammatically correct.

The intelligence talk with black quarterbacks is getting old. Apparently he's "Well-spoken" as well.

He's well-spoken and well-written for a 17-18 year-old kid. I don't give a #### what color he is.

Some things aren't said with racial intent.

Ever heard Tom Brady talk? He might be mildly retarded. IF you present yourself as an idiot people are going to assume you're an idiot.

For real. I don't make racial issues out of stuff like this. I used Dobbs as an example because he plays for UT and seems like a model student-athlete and great representative for this university.

I used Pryor as the other end of the spectrum because he was once the #1 HS dual threat and has acted like some idiot thug from day 1. That's all I was saying.

Dude, come on and give the kid a break. You have been twisting and turning anything you can to look make him look bad.

First, TG just wanted twitter followers yet here he is about to take a 2nd visit to UT on his own dime.

Somehow he's a prima donna for not committing to a school 8 months before NSD. I mean god forbid a high school kid take his time to make the biggest decision of his life.

Now he comes out and says the rumors about the suspension is false and you think he's lying about that as well. I haven't seen any legit statements about what really happened, just a bunch of heresay with every story being different. TG was even talking about all the exams he was doing during the last week of school on his blog. Seems strange that he would say that if he was suspended from school.

I've seen the running pictures. The only Twitter I follow is the Twitter thread. I'm just using good old deductive reasoning, which is not bulletproof at all.

We'll see how much work he's putting in since he has his own blog now.

I'm going to wait and get all caught up when he inks the deal for his early morning network cable TV show.
